Ok... How did you bypass beta2's expiration?!?! Or are you just talking about something you have no clue about?? Or am I just missing something??

(If your asking me) You know.. I've been wondering that myself. I think the jailbreak had something to do with it. I was worried about b2 expiring for a while.., and I eventually just forgot about it.. It just never expired for me. I was thinking about getting one of the newer betas, as b2 is very.. laggy from time to time. (But what do you expect, it's an early beta.) Just too much hassle to download, then the whole bypassing activation and all that.
Actually, now that I think about it.. in the SystemVersion.plist... (I think that's the one..) I think iUtilities changes that plist to say 2.2.1 and that its a public release and not 3.0 on a beta.. That could do it. Unless other people who used that method got an expiration..
I know in OS X I change that plist to say 10.5.6 or 10.5.7 just so I don't have to update to a certain version of Leopard for certain software.. It could be something like that. I don't know other than that.

^No jailbreak. Ya'll seem to forget the jailbreak "activates" the phone.

So I'll be unlocked, but not activated. Hmmm. Kinda defeats the point, huh? How are people activating it on tmobile?

wow if you updated to 3.0 GM and your on tmobile. And you had tmobile from a jailbreak. You just lost your unlock and will not be able to get it unlocked even if you downgrade to 2.2.1 because the baseband got updated. So you are stuck now with a bricked iPhone till who knows when they come out with an unlock for 3.0 software, and may i remind you it took dev team a little while to get an unlock for iphone 3G 2.O software.(they still rock though) So sorry but you are stuck!!!
