And if anyone didn't notice yet the new 3G S is the same size dimensions as the 3G so you don't have to buy all new accessories or covers. Very nice!

Any news as to a Bluetooth upgrade? The iphone doesn't work with my truck's built-in system, but the blackberrys do. The iPhone did work at one time. I think it was 2.1. It stopped working with last update.

Does the Video Recorder work on regular 3G?
...Voice Dialing?
...Video Editing?

Look, in the interest of everyone here i will personally pay for your UDID to be activated by a dev if it does not work, or gift you the money over paypal so you can do it yourself.
Usually after restoring to a beta it registers the UDID then Activates. This time it just activated straight away.
You have my word and i apologise for the incovenience if it does not work for you but i will personally pay the couple quid for a dev spot for you i promise. The Original Autobot of MMiJesus couldn't turn into a fire engine

And the voice control etc etc. features are for the 3GS.
I am pretty sure they will be hacked onto the 3G via Cydia after the release of the 3GS, but for now noone can answer any of these questions. Noone has got hold of a 3GS for nearly long enough.
And im not expecting to see the dev team release quickpwn or pwnage tool until after the public release of 3.0 just incase apple can patch their exploitThe Original Autobot of MMiJesus couldn't turn into a fire engine

06-08-2009, 06:31 PM #69I do agree with you, I don't expect to see a jailbreak/unlock until the release, which I think is dumb. Apple already claimed the GM version is the latest build. It seems wayyyy too late to fix/change anything things now.And im not expecting to see the dev team release quickpwn or pwnage tool until after the public release of 3.0 just incase apple
can patch their exploit

iPhone - Apple Store (U.K.)
New Features
Slightly down the page. The 3G does not officially support voice control or video, however, we have Cydia. The Original Autobot of MMiJesus couldn't turn into a fire engine

Thanks for the Reply.

That absolutely sucks, NO VOICE DIALING FOR 3G owners" WTF even a $80 phone can voice dial. The 3G has everything it needs for voice dialing yet Apple has handicapped it for no good reason. IMO the Iphone is the most dangerous phone to use while Driving and voice dialing would have fixed that problem. With my Motorola Razor I could feel out the keys while I drove but with the Iphone you have to take your eyes off the road to dial the dam thing.
Man am I disapointed with this release, as for the 3GS they can keep that, it's a much better deal to get a 3G and save a few hundred bucks.

What about mms on t-mobile using an unlocked 2g? Does anyone know if this will work?
MMS was the big feature I was looking forward to, but I'm not sure if it will work for me.

I just gave it another go once I noticed I needed to have iTunes 8.2 installed first. The 3.0 upgrade worked just fine and now i'm restoring all my apps from my latest backup. My iPhone is NOT registered. So Reeko and others are correct in saying the registration requirement is no longer an issue. Cheers.

Here's a great question: it seems most us on this thread are using 3G iphones right? Why are we rushing to upgrade to 3.0 if it isn't jailbroken? I mean, no cydia apps, so we are cripling our phones here right? Why doesn't everyone just wait for an official quickpwn update??
