The $99 iPhone Walks Among Us
For quite a while folks have rumored and wept for a $99 iPhone, and Apple's announcement Monday at WWDC has fulfilled that wish. Alongside the $199 16GB iPhone 3GS and the $299 32GB iPhone 3GS, the traditional iPhone 3G in 8GB will be selling for $99 with a new 2 year contract on AT&T. And that price is effective immediately - go buy one, or wait til the 19th and buy a 3GS..

Read this...this is straight from apple and sucks for those of us that bought 3G phones when they came out
"For non-qualified customers, including existing AT&T customers who want to upgrade from another phone or replace an iPhone 3G, the price with a new two-year agreement is $499 (8GB), $599 (16GB), or $699 (32GB)."

What really sucks is if you upgrade now, you can't upgrade next summer with the iPhone 4. 2Gers, I wouldn't upgrade if I were you.

This really breaks my hoohahs after spending $199 twice for my upgrade and my wifes then another $399 because I dropped my phone and it broke into a good 30 pieces. Now it's only $99, it's like a disposable phone now.
