Wow, all these angry posts!

I guess if I had to pay $499 for an upgrade I would be pissed to....that is why I always have 2 phones from AT&T, and I rotate them every two years so I always have one that is ready for a cheap upgrade. I keep the one I am not using on the cheapest plan and no data or text....works for me.

I for one am excited to get the 32GB 3Gs. I like the look of the 3G today, so am not disappointed that the new one looks the same. I wonder if my case will still fit????

I am also looking forward to the new features...even though it does not have as many as we would like.

the upgrading part is babyback bullsh*** I can't pay 600 dollars for a new phone I have school coming up not to mention bills I already have. I'm seriously disgusted with this crap apple and at&t is giving us.. This makes me sad and fed up... 

Wow everyone has issues with the new iPhone but who cares you dont have to buy it people...let other people buy it who have never had one...Also with the rumors...that is what they are until Apple says its true why do people believe all of those dumb rumors...come on....that is how you dont get let down...

I don't think its the rumors that have let people down it is what we expect from Apple as Apple has taught us in this manor... their the ones that want to sell their products and came out with all the cool stuff etc.... with what they have did these past couple of years people expect more from them than this...

As far as if people want to buy it or not its their choice..... and many would upgrade and want to upgrade as well if Apple and Att were not so greedy.....

This is all about what people see in other phones and also pricing.... and with a phone THIS popular everyone would like to upgrade every year.....

I agree with thetoothfairy (not the jalapeño part) but the upgrade part on the iPhone 3Gs is so stupid I can't believe it. I have a 3G I want a new iPhone but I can't pay for that, it sucks. It's hard enough to keep up with my current phone bill. (sigh...) hope there is a win a iPhone 3Gs competition on modmyi this year again like last summer. maybe I'll get lucky.

Apple really screwed iPhone customers that want to upgrade. I'm pretty depressed by it.... BTW its $399 for 16gig and $499 for 32gig. Check the apple site, you guys might want to correct that

Honestly....how can ya'll be mad because you might have to pay $500 to upgrade your phone early???

Hello....this is the ONLY phone that AT&T has ever allowed you to even do an early upgrade on....AND that price is still competitive with any other PDA type device.

PS- I just wish it was ore "exciting", its gotta look different or I'll think I still have the same thing

Apparently I upgraded May 3rd which means I missed out on being able to send this one back by 6 days. The rep I talked to mentioned that anyone who upgraded between may 9th and june 9th was eligible for the discounted price, I am assuming that meant by sending back their old phone but never inquired about that as I was not eligible for it anyway. I am only upset because if I waited 6 days I could have been able to get it at a discount. If I had my phone my like 7 months or something, I wouldnt care at all. Aside from a better camera and battery, and storage if you went the 32 route, there is nothing on this new phone jailbreaking cant fix, and then some

I am more upset the 8gb went down to 99 because it completely cockblocked me being able to sell my current phone for enough to cover getting a new one and paying early termination.

wtf, laame prices for upgrading in regard to att.

now thru apple i guess thats reasonable somehow.
why? cause i try upgrading to 16gb white and att charged me 400

i was ok that may be worth it. but knowing that i can pay the same price thru apple, and get 3gs i guess that sounds better...but idk that sucks the price and lack of thinking of customer satisfaction...

however, question. if
order thru apple...will i have to return my iphone 3g?

or i get to keep it?
