It's that time of year again. June is iPhone month, and WWDC is just a few days away. There's so many rumors about upcoming iPhone shizz its become a jungle of confusion. I submit to you this - the iPhone Rumor Roundup. Be your own judge.

Shots of the Next iPhone's Back Cover Leaked

Macrumors and iPodObserver got some pictures showing a matte back, that is believed to be in the next iPhone.

Leaks by AT&T Executive

An AT&T exec seems to have leaked many details about the upcoming iPhone.

New Wi-fi chip traces found in 3.0 beta that has a mode number of a Broadcom chip, which features Bluetooth 2.1, Less power consuming 802.11n technology and even FM transmitter functionality

Video Recording, Better Camera and Multicore Processors

OLED for next iPhone

LG might be supplying Apple with OLEDs for future iPhone model.

Significantly faster iPhone

Improved battery life might be the best for my needs . I wish they had a removable battery instead .

Apple really does know how to give it's customers what they want. Slowly and over lots of time of course.

From the looks of it, this is going to be a really nice phone. I personally love photography, and always have my phone on me, so I would love the improved camera. Don't get me wrong, the current camera isn't that bad, and it is only a phone, but it's just a little too slow and can ruin some shots if you shake alot like I do. The native video recording capabilities sound nice too.

It's too bad I just got my 3G back in January.. =/

Monday cant get here fast enough, even if there isnt a new iphone comming out i just want to know whats going on. I feel like im being left in the dark lol

I just wonder how come no one is asking for multiple app backgrounding??? And very few are worried of a RAM memory upgrade....this would very likely fix all those 30 sec app loading problems, and "The SIMS 3" crashing every 10 mins. Im kinda worried of people only asking the Apple GODS for a lighting up logo...and thats pretty much what where going to be getting

Did anyone see the first gen/second gen hybrid iPhone with the colored backs? The photos are in the link called Next iPhone Photos shot. I think the colors pictured are the same as the current nano lineup.

There have been lots of 'designers impressions' of what the next iPhone will look like, some include multi colours a la nano - its not an impossibility but unlikely, no leaks from 'sources' no matter how little creditability they have!

More RAM is always useful and there are rumours that the next iPhone will have double the RAM.

The iPhone OS was never designed for multitasking so I doubt if we will ever see full multitasking especially as Apple have stated the battery drain would be too great. If we did then double the memory would not be enough. One of the biggest complaints about WM is how it slows down when lots of apps are open even though it's supposed to manage the memory 'efficiently'. More background like features such as the push notification, is probably the most sensible course for Apple to take.

Upgrading from a 2G at the end of a contract? Go for the new iPhone.
Already have a 3G? Unless you really must have the 'latest' I see nothing that makes me want to change. FW3.0 (once it's unlocked) on the 3G is what I'll probably stick with.

Just my opinion.
