Looks like Apple is still in the game... as Steve stated it is a cat and mouse game.... and Apple still likes to play it!

Non-functioning iTunes
I have been running OS 3.0 BETA 5 Jailbroken with Windows Vista Ultimate...no problem until today. I can't get itunes to come up in a functional way. Screen comes up but Task Manager says the program is not responding. I have been using iTunes 8.2 pre-release successfully until today. I have the itunes update turned off.

I put all 10 movies purchased on itumes on my 16gb iphone and erased my library and will erase my apps. I found handbrake and diskutility effective ways to get movies on my mac. I am not dealing with the headache.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'll wait for the official release of 3.0 and word from the dev-team saying it's a go. And maybe by then Jay will have Cydia and Winterboard working properly. Thanks again!!

Does it affect syncing with previously jailbroken devices? It seems like it does not, but it would be nice to have a confirmation

If you want to be safe you should never update until the Dev-Team say it's safe to do so.

ITunes is Working NOW
I fixed the problem. Noticed that I was running iTunes 8.02.2, so I reloaded 8.02.1 over it, which wiped out 8.02.2... now iTunes is working again and I have a working jailbroken iPhone running OS 3.0 ...(I selected repair when I ran the iTunes setup file.)
