Reeko has said pretty much what I was going too say. I would be very surprised if the timing was not going to coincide with the people coming to an end of 2G 2 year contracts in the USA but, of course they were only 18 month contracts in the UK.
The big unknown, as he says, is the price of 3G upgrades as everyone who got one is still in contract.
Luckily I'm not in contract so all I need to worry about is when yellowsn0w comes out and the price differential between a 32Gb and what I could get for my 8Gb 3G on fleaBay

Just a thought... If in fact the iphone is getting video editing.. turn by turn and ... blah blah... couldn't it be possible.. I am forgetting what gen of ipods.. but apple would use 2 4gig flash to make 8 gigs... anyone think that if they are phasing out the 16... it could be to bring in 32 and 64?
oh... they aren't HDD so i doubt its for for the netbook... but they did purcahse a ton of them... and they must be for something... come on June... !!!

I'm ready for a 32gb model. The selling point for me will be more CPU speed & at least double the ram.
It would be dumb on Apple's part to discontinue any size. Sell the phones.
8gb - 99.00
16gb - 199.00
32gb - 299.00
There are a lot of people that won't pay 200 for a phone an iPhone under a 100 will make even more sells.Last edited by Cokeman; 05-23-2009 at 10:07 AM.
If I can't mod it...I don't want it.

But you're still waiting and are likely to be for at least another month while the rest of us are enjoying our phones

This is great. 32GB will be plenty for me so that I don't have to sync every other day.

Because they tend to have more music - what did you think I meant?
