A couple recent Apple job listings suggest that Apple is working on increasing processing and video abilities on future iPhone models.
The
first job listing shows that Apple wants an individual with experience with ARM processors and NEON unit vector to join the team.

Currently the Apple device utilizing an ARM processor is the iPhone/iPod Touch. The current processor is a ARMv6 processor. The NEON term refers to an instruction set that can accelerate multimedia applications. NEON is specifically for the ARMv7 Cortex processor, the next generation up from the current iPhone/iPod Touch processor.
The
second job listing is looking for an individual to help Apple deliver cutting edge video embedding technology.. The most interesting bit is where the job description specifically calls for
