Next iPhone July 17th, Rubber Back, OLED Screen, More?

The link to the turn-by-turn navigation states that it will come with OS 3.0. Does this mean that 3G owners can also have this feature? Or is it only for the new iPhone coming this summer?

Turn-by-turn navigation would probably be much more improved in the new iPhone, would it not? (Since this has the compass) As opposed to the 3G, which tends to keep going straight for a few seconds in the map after you make a turn.

Looks pretty promising. Hopefully they won't have ridiculous prices for those who aren't eligible for an upgrade yet. I would definitely upgrade for the 32GB as I think it's the sweet spot for portable devices.

As long as your a previous iPhone owner I am sure that they will let you purchase the new one at the subsidized price even if you arent eligible for the upgrade. It would be only fair.

You couldn't purchase the 3g with subsidized pricing when they came out if you had just bought the iPhone a year before.....They just let you out of your 2 year contract a year early so you could buy it and sign a new 2 year but still had to pay the extra $$ un-subsidized.

set ur iphone to transmit the headphone out to the fm transmitter at 88.1 frequency.

other than that i would buy it JUST for that!!
they wouldn't even have to change anything else,

the light up logo will be cool ONLY if the light was different colors,acts as a status notifier(new sms,new mail,ect...)
agreed not so sure about back. i want my iphone to feel like the $200-$300 i spent on it.(and the outrageous AT&T price plans)

Fair? What would make it fair?

Do I get a steep discount on a 2010 car because I bought the 2009 model?

For what it's worth, my upgrade option on AT&T is to buy the new iPhone at a discounted price, but not the full subsidized discounted price. So I'm probably looking at $499 for a 32G model.

Sounds fantastic but I do certainly agree, bring back the metal back. Why would I want rubber? It just grips your pocket and makes it hard to get in and out. Anyone who bought one of those iPhone skins would know. And I couldn't agree more on the photo technology takin less than two years. Good joke.

LOL....why u guys trippin over a rumored rubber back? The chances are....you're not even going to be able to see it anyway with an aftermarket case on it. Like it's going to make a difference when you can't see it?

I use 87.8 or 87.9 and get better sound quality with my Itrip Autopilot. I had to switch the default settings on the transmitter to Japanese stations though to be able to broadcast lower than 88.1.

You missed the point of the article entirely. They are saying that the new Iphone itself may have a built in FM radio. Not the ability to transmit TO a radio.

Many cellphones have built in FM radios...
