lol nah im pretty sure they do mean fm "transmiter" because people like to transmit their audio to their fm radio,instead of having to buy a $75-$150 device that does the same thing. And no lol you dont need to be the FCC to transmit radio waves, the FCC are the people that make sure you dont transmit anything illegal, copyrighted tracks and profanity filled tracks and stuff like that

i really do hope they release it on that date... im so anxious to get this due to the fact i have the 1st gen and it would be pointless imo to upgrate to 3.0 and not enjoy the full features unless i have the 3g... i am also due for an upgrade so hope all works out!

The link to the turn-by-turn navigation states that it will come with OS 3.0. Does this mean that 3G owners can also have this feature? Or is it only for the new iPhone coming this summer?

Turn-by-turn navigation would probably be much more improved in the new iPhone, would it not? (Since this has the compass) As opposed to the 3G, which tends to keep going straight for a few seconds in the map after you make a turn.
