That being said I am not too hopeful... OLED screens are really pricey right now. I doubt they would debut them on the phone, AND keep it at that price point, but you never know!

I have to agree that the plastic is sorta cheap, but I don't much like rubber either.

I agree, that would look sick. I think someone did it, I read it on a blog somewhere - looks tight.
EDIT: It was a carbon fiber macbook that I saw, not an iPhone...

I think they mean receiver, cause what could you possibly transmit over FM? That makes NO sense at all. Receive radio signals, ok, but you can't send over FM unless you're licensed aka FCC.

lol - assuming the iPhone can broadcast more than 10 yards? Imagine if all those $10 FM Transmitters required FCC approval? damn, we'd never get anywhere. You'd need one hell of an amplifier before the FCC gets on your case for broadcasting a few illegally downloaded MP3's..

I assume so. They allowed us last year - I bought the originaly iphone (full price) the day it came out, upgraded to the iphone 3g the day it came out (subsidized price), and I assume they will allow current iphone 3g owners to upgrade at subsidized price once again...

DAMN!!!!!! its gonna cost the same thing as my iphone 3G!!!! i wanna toss mine out the window and buy the new one. and finally turn by turn direction. and the picture and video editing would be SWEET! i like editing pics and videos. all though i know that they probably wont have much features to edit.

lol nah im pretty sure they do mean fm "transmiter" because people like to transmit their audio to their fm radio,instead of having to buy a $75-$150 device that does the same thing. And no lol you dont need to be the FCC to transmit radio waves, the FCC are the people that make sure you dont transmit anything illegal, copyrighted tracks and profanity filled tracks and stuff like that

So because we are able to jailbreak our current devices due to an exploit in the DFU mode, is there a chance that they have patched this up?

I know that the dev teams will probably find a way no matter what happens :]

i really do hope they release it on that date... im so anxious to get this due to the fact i have the 1st gen and it would be pointless imo to upgrate to 3.0 and not enjoy the full features unless i have the 3g... i am also due for an upgrade so hope all works out!

Think I will wait another year when the 64gb comes out with Flash and Sling over 3g , and a easy to remove battery would be nice also .
