Youngest developer yet??
Do you remember what you were doing in middle school? For alot of us it probably didnt have anything to do with computers and certainly not programming. Well times have changed, kids learn to type before they can write.....
Or maybe they learn to code.........apps for the iphone. Thats what 11-year-old Joey did.
Enter Earthquake Watch:

Itunes Description
This iPhone app was created by Joey S. who is 11 Years old and hopes to Create many more great apps for the iphone users!
This app provides details on earthquakes all over the World for free. All this data is in a nice table view and shows promptly the magnitude and the location.
So the application is nothing to blow your mind......but wrote by an 11-year-old, now thats pretty cool
By the way...if your interested in the app you can find it hereLast edited by cpjr; 05-19-2009 at 05:35 PM.

I'm 15 and I tried to code and design an iPhone APP.
But, I didn't feel like learning the language, I guess I eventually will but for now, I'm just designing web-sites. =)Last edited by Broomhead; 05-19-2009 at 06:16 PM. Reason: first fail

twitter.com/dale1vMicrosoft owns the internet through Hotmail. The .HTML is short for Hotmail, so all .HTML files are MS files.

not tryin to be a ****, but:
also, the post states it updates all this info for free, but the image shows the app as $1.99
hmmm.
EDITOR???
lastly,
where in the he!! does the kid get the info that supplies his app. like the magnitude info.
where does that come from?
i know he didnt setup an entire network of seismometers all over the world to support this app.
where did he come up with this and why aren't people suing???Last edited by tattoojack; 05-19-2009 at 06:17 PM.

Well that's one payment.
Maybe they mean it just updates for free after that?

Tatoo jack , all that info is public records and you can find it in probably many websites around. All this kid is doing (which at 11 is amazing), is just organizing that earthquake info and putting it into an app;

11 really isn't that young. I'm 13 and I own an iPod Touch and am considering investing in a iPhone when the new one comes out. I design and create my own themes and am also considering opening my own repo for Cydia to host them. I also am in the process of learning the language to write and create App Store and Cydia apps
. So yeah.

sounds like there're a few jealous kids in this thread..
good for the 11yearold kid, though, to take an interest in the platform.. plenty of time to nurture his skills..

Seismic XML
I hate to sound rude... but, Apple has sample code called "Seismic XML". All they did was rename it to "Earthquakes Everywhere". Everything is exactly the same. Its just a rip of Apples code. I'm pretty sure a monkey could have done it.
