Just an FYI -- tapping the "DVR" button on the app powers on my DirecTV DVR. No way to power off though.

im running 2.2.1 and using screensplitr combined with the a/v wires from apple. anybody care to make an educated guesstimate about my usage question? really would hate to lose my internet plan for abusive usage. right now im using t-mobile but i also have at&t and would rather use 3g but that whole terms of service thing scares me a tad.

I would think the usage would be very high.
Bets thing to do is try it as no one seams to know.
Check your data usage before, watch it for ten minutes, check your usage after then you can work out how much an hours watching will take - it will be a rough guide only as different things will use different compression but should give you an idea.
If you do this, post the results here to give others an idea!He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

Stealth,
Have you had a chance to work on MobileSubstrate so VOIPover3G works with OS 3?
(I'm sorry to be a nudge)

Wouldn't it be easier just to look at the FAQ on slingmedia's site where you would find Sling Media Support - What's a Slingbox ID? (Also known as "Finder ID" or "Slingbox Finder ID") ?

Just wanted to report that I was in a non-3G area today, and was able to sling quite well on nothing but Edge. Pretty cool. It does stop a bit more often to "optimize" but not too much that it isn't workable.
