Same here, I'm on beta 5, and I just got home with my slingbox....just to experience the 3g tricker is not working for beta 5. Is it gonna be fixed or do I have to go back to 2.2.1?

The only way for me is forward especially being that we're now nearly at June and 3.0 is meant to launch in June. No way I'm going backwards for one app, even if it's one that I've been waiting a nearly a year for in 3G.

Does anyone know how to control a PS3 remotely if I hook up my slingbox to my PS3? I would love to be able to watch all my videos I have stored on my PS3.

video out is the #1 request from what i have goatherd i know that screensplitr works but it brings the frame rate down to much to enjoy. Anyone find a work around for this issue?

Where on earth have you heard that? I've heard lots of requests but I must say this is the first time I've heard that one!

Confucious, I think you misread what he said. He said that it was the number one request from his goat herd. I didn't even know that goat herd's had iPhones or SlingBoxes.

For the folks that have install "Tricker 3g" and still having the problem connecting their Slingplayer, You MUST make sure that your slingbox is set up to view via internet. If it isn't set up, it WILL NOT work.. I had the same problem that most of you are having and once I set it up for viewing from the internet, it works fine on my Iphone 3g.

Hey Confucious , I reset everything on my iphone . I had to jailbreak again ( which seemed to be a pain ) and I only installed Slingplayer and its still a no go .
I have given up on this and will probably just have to take my laptop to work if there is something I want to watch from now on .

Why do you think I want a jailbroken phone for ? I wasnt about to not jailbreak it and not be able to use the Tricker 3G app . If this works for others I would assume it would work for me .

My point was that if you try when it's not jailbroken you can narrow down the problem. If it still doesn't work you can go to Slingplayer support. If it does work then you try jailbreaking and installing nothing and seeing if it works then adding your apps one by one to see what the problem is.

I get my sling to work over 3G, but the quality is so terrible, and at work, I cannot even connect to 3G. Forget running this over Edge, I don't know how U guys are able to get this to work. I live in Orlando, a rather Large city and this almost doesn't work anywhere.

Man, that sucks Mike. Here in Philly I can drive around in my car and have a crystal clear picture over 3G. Sure, there are the usual spots it buffers, but mainly it's great every where I go. What sucks more is that I'm heading to Disney in Orlando in a few days and was hoping the 3G reception would be just as good, but after reading what you said I'm worried now. I still hope that I'll get decent reception there, so here's to crossing my fingers.

I'm in the greater Philadelphia area too (north Delaware) and my results are exactly like ronfin44's. I can drive in my vehicle, and get perfect reception continually while slinging with 3G. I can even do it pretty well when only on edge. I am very pleased with the Sling app. Only thing I would like would be the ability of turning on/off my cable box remotely (as you can with the sling app on a Mac or PC).
