haha. Just because you couldn't get it to work doesn't mean that I am wrong. There is only two apps that I can think of that gave me problems.

But you have to SSH to do that? I don't know how and don't feel like learning.

I have used many apps like that, Orblive, joost, itunes store, skype. They all thought they were on Wifi.

SB.. im not saying VOIPover3G doesnt work.. I have used it succesfully with some programs as well. My question is will it work with ANY program? The apps that did give you problems.. were you able to eventually make it work with those? Thanks again...

Ah, I gotcha. Your right it should be called 3G masker or something else.

As far as the problems I was having with a few programs was not that it didn't turn on at all but sometimes it would cut off after a few minutes. I got one working and the other one no. I am sure there are some apps that it might not work with. Believe me I will be the first to check it out on sling when it hits.

the VoIP trick WORKS!!!! Head to the Sling forums to see how..requires SSH

I did it myself so i can confirm...High Quality seems alittle choppy over 3G but standard works well and is very watchable

I assume SlingMedia did set it up so no cr@cked versions of their software would work? That's the way it was when I had it on WM.

will slingplayer mobile work for cable + DVR box from Time Warner? Or only their own made devices - because I did see Apple TV on there.
