Unofficial iPhone 3.0 Beta 5 Jailbreak Released (iPhone 3g Only)

Ok everyone here is the next installment in the patched QuickPwn Saga. Bundle cracked by HoZy and lilstevie. The current version is iPhone 3g only! The jailbreak is Windows only (packaged in windows QuickPWN).

THERE ARE REASONS I DID NOT PACKAGE IT TOGETHER TO BEGIN WITH. DO NOT DO IT AND POST A LINK. IT WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS!

Like the previous 3.0 beta jailbreaks this one installs Icy (Cydia isn't ready yet). Also like previous 3.0 beta jailbreaks you need to have your iPhones UDID in a dev account.

Attention iPhone 3G upgraders:

If you upgrade to 3.0, it will change your baseband and yellowsnow unlock will be non-functional. Furthermore, as of now you will not be able to downgrade your baseband unless you are on a 5.08 bootloader and be stuck without a soft unlock.

I haz put together instructions to troubleshoot common problems in my out of control huge Firmware 3.0 jailbreak thread. If you have any problems during the jailbreak, there are many helpful people who have gone thru a couple beta jailbreaks now and can help you out. There is also information there about MMS, Tethering, Theming, App Compatibility list, and many more mods.

Is there any issues with using beta 4 quickpwn on beta 5. I used beta 4. Told quickpwn to look at the beta 4 restore file .. Worked for me.

Yea you are patching the beta 4 kernel into beta 5. Not a good idea!

and i tried to get mms actiavted today.

but they gave me some B.S saying that they shut down some thing for mms.
can you confirm that?
are you still rocking the MMS?

One more question. is there anyway for some reason mms gets disable with this jailbreak can we bring it back? and i dont mean the service i mean the settings where u activate it

Have had the beta program and been working nice all of sudden went to charge my phone off my computer and the phone goes into a purple screen and shows itune icon on it with usb cable on screen.slide to unlock and it goes to emergency mode and only call 911.Go into itunes and shows phone but will not syc or restore even if i try to click on phone and right click on phone it will not do anything.Is my phone screwed or what.Thanks for the replies.

ipcc comment wasn't for you. You need to restore to a new beta. The old beta expires 10 days after a new one is released.
