Next iPhone to Include Movie Editing and Sharing App?

There have been a ton of leaks and rumors concerning video on the next iPhone which we are expecting to be revealed in June. It isn't a very far stretch to believe that Apple is going to take things a step further with some sort of iMovie-like application for the iPhone.
It has taken Apple a couple years to add in all these basic phone features like copy & paste, MMS, etc with iPhone 3.0 that other phone manufacturers have been including for years. Now that Apple has finally dedicated itself to completing the iPhone they are doing things big!I’ve spoken with a source that is familiar with Apple’s plans for the next iPhone, which may well be announced at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in early June. Evidently, shooting video is as easy as it is with a Flip, the ingenious device made by Pure Digital (recently purchased by Cisco). Then there’s an iMovie app that lets you quickly save the sections you want, right there on the phone itself. There may also be support for MMS, so the clips can be shared wirelessly with friends.

Well it makes sence. Apple is the only on that can think outside the box, and come out with something you wouldn't think of doing. On top of that I like how apple can reengineer something and make it better. I've had a lot of PDA phones, but this is thus far the best PDA phone I have ever had.

Well knowing apple they will probably make user friendly. They usually make things easy to use.

I wouldn't say that. Probably not editing, but the 2G/3G are more than capable of recording video. I wouldn't get my hopes up on edidintg either, just yet. Unless the new phone has a really beefy processor I am not sure I would want to sit there "editing" my work, at least not in the conventional and in-depth ways that OSX's iMovie is able to do.

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

Hmmm .... things are warming up somewhat
Ok the exitement is killing me.... Damn you Apple!! I know better than to buy into this Marketing crap, only problem is that Apple's products usually live up to the so called hype.

Finally!!! Looks like core PDA functions are not the only welcome additions to expect. Looks like we're in for a treat.

Apple usually likes to make things easy to use by implementing clear and smart interfaces. Cutting a part in your video would be a timeline that you can swipe from left to right to the part you want to cut. Merging can be as easy as dragging one part on top of the other, and adding effects as simple as choosing from a nice list. All this leading to a "Preview" button which lets you preview before exporting lol
