Hey guys. I have a questions in ragards to an unactive 1G phone, 3.0 firmware.

I updated to beta4 and all seems fine. However, I do not see tethering menu. When I was at beta3, I upload an ipcc file but do not see it there aswell. The beta4 is suppose to have mms(not on 1g phone) and tethering menu enabled without modifying the ipcc file if I am correct.

I am not seeing the menu is because I don't have an active sim?

really it took forever in beta 2 and 3 for me and now it fast like it was with 2.2

Oh dear. Beta 4 won't flash for me.

It gets as far as "verifying software" then gives an "error 10" code.

It is for devs or anyone registered with a dev. It is a beta os so there are a few bugs here and there. Check out my thread in my sig for details about 3.0. If you are still interested, PM me and I will get you going for free.

Hmm. I'm using the 32bit version of iTunes on a 64bit edition of Windows. That's the only thing I'm not doing by the numbers. And I extracted the .ipsw from a .dmg with a shareware program called "TransMac"

You guys reckon that could have anything to do with it?

My 3G is running great with beta 4. I also uploaded my custom IPCC to get MMS and tethering working. Works like a charm. Only difference I noticed is that when you are turning on the phone now, you get the standard apple logo and then the screen will go blank for about 3 or 4 seconds and then the homescreen comes up or the lockscreen.

Before, the apple would just disappear and the homescreen would be there.

Sorry, I got a little shut eye and my PM Box blew up! I have answered all the PMs and if I missed anyone, just send me another PM! If after upgrading you want to enable MMS and tethering you need a custom ipcc. You can find the AT&T on my thread in my signature. I got over 75 people registered last night! If you all are having any problems with beta 4, its best to post in my 3.0 thread. There are many people who are on beta 4 and can answer questions. Good luck everyone!
