iPhone 3.0 Beta 3 Jailbreak Released (Non Dev Team)

Very similar to the previous jailbreak for the 3.0 beta firmware this Jailbreak fresh out from Russia allows you to install Icy on your iPhone, iPhone 3g, or iPod Touch 1st gen running 3.0 Beta 3 firmware that was released the other day. As with the previous beta 3.0 jailbreak Cydia has not yet been prepared for iPhone 3.0 leaving the option of Icy which isn't nearly as awesome but it is something. Once again this is not a dev team release -- it is independently compiled files packaged inside of the dev teams QuickPwn software.

For those wanting to theme (manually) or work at it to get some things working (like the old days) or just want to play around inside the latest firmware release from Apple here ya go. Oh, one lasst thing, if you upgrade to iPhone Firmware 3.0 you will not be able to use yellowsnow to unlock (maybe forever). iPhone 3g user you've been warned.

this looks kewl, that guy must be busy jailbreaking a new beta almost every 2 weeks...

and no the mms feature isnt working yet. its at&t that has the mms feature off (i think)

No it is not and will not till june as the MMS feature is blocked by ATT and not by apple

MMS is working and you need to call them and ask them to turn it on. Mine was working with the first beta.

I wonder if I can use this for beta 3 and once JB, use boot neuter? (Original iPhone Here).

Is that the proper sequence one should do for the iPhone 2G?

Nah, forget it, It seems cool to have copy/paste and the tethering feature but on the other hand, another damn beta will be out within weeks and the entire process of updating. But I would still like to know my question above.

If your iPhone is unlocked and your on any firmware after 1.1.4, it doesn't matter if you restore or update, the iPhone will always remain unlocked.

well, worked.. kinda.. installed, and then added the appulo resource, installed MiPatch and then **********. rebooted after that and it got stuck on the apple screen with the spinning wheel froze. so i guess appulo doesnt work for me. back and running but have no time to try again.

any why would you need to install MiPatch
i dont think MiPatch was made for 3.0

every thing works fine for me
all apps working like they should
ive even got cydia apps working that never worked on the old betas
like categories
one thing tho when i try to browse the file on my windows machine using ifunbox
it thinks that the phone isnt jailbroken and wont allow me to browse files
guess it needs a update im sure i can still ssh into it but im at work atm so cant test

i'll wait for dev team... im sure saurik will have 3.0 cydia for them by the time everyone needs it.
