Pocket Tunes Radio Plays Sirius XM on iPhone

Remember recently when Starplayr was abruptly shut down before the expected iPhone app release could happen? It wasn't looking good for a nice Sirius XM radio on the iPhone. Enter Pocket Tunes Radio via the App Store to make the Sirius XM dream happen. Pocket Tunes Radio admittedly isn't as cool as Starplayr was going to be but it is a nice option worth considering.
Features:- Works with web-based subscription services like XM (instructions), Sirius (instructions), Live 365 VIP (instructions).
- Supports aacPlus v2 for the best sound.
- Packaged with a selection of thousands of stations to listen to.
- Remembers stations you like for easy finding.
- If you like a song and want to purchase easily launch it in the iTunes store.
- Built in web browser for multi tasking while listening.
- Search to find what you want from the entire cataloge of stations.
- More . . .
thanks JazJon for the tip

Pocket Tunes really is a great app. Have tried a few of the other radio apps and found this to be the best all round, particularly the buffering time for most of the stations.
The price is well worth it, and sure if you can't afford it, there are ways around it!When I said that I was 'king of forwards', you got to understand that I don't come up with this stuff. I just forward it along. You wouldn't arrest a guy who was just passing drugs from one guy to another?

Since I don't use any of the satellite radios, I'll just stick with Wunder Radio. It's cheaper and has more stations than anyone could ever need!

Pocket Tunes requires the 2.2.1 software to be on your phone....aaaaaaarrrggghhhh! Bastards. Now I have to go find a custom 2.2.1 that won't upgrade my baseband. Nice.

I really like Pocket Tunes except..... if you do anything else on the phone (read sms, incoming phone call) it stops Pocket Tunes from running. Plus, when it does cut out because of an incoming phone call, it makes a HORRIBLE screach noise in your ear. It is very annoying because it always makes me jump.

I can't seem to get this to work. The web on my phone does not show up like they list in the instructions? It shows the "little lego blocks". Anyone have any advice...am I missing something?
I don't really know what I did, but it works now....woot!

This is great! Thank you!
I'm listening to XM now, perfectly... well, minus when someone calls or texts.

does it work well over normal edge service, or is 3G and Wifi a must?
Seriously considering this for use around the house and in the car.

I've used it in the car with little to no problem. It sounds a little "tinny"... Slacker & Pandora sound better streaming, even over EDGE, but XM in general, sounds "tinny" streamed. The other stuff on Pocket Tunes sounds great in the car!

Can I just use Safari to use Sirius or XM by visiting the website and enter my login information?

download backgrounder... it'll solve your issue
you may not need it. ph of the dev team released a BB downgrade tool for 3g users. make sure you read it first. if not just grab a custom FW. http://www.modmyi.com/forums/iphone-...30-2-28-a.htmlLast edited by rwin84; 04-17-2009 at 07:43 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Thanks rwin84. I posted a request for a custom firmware today.
I am looking for a phone that I can run experiments on right now. I would like to downgrade a baseband on a phone I don't depend on everyday
