Widgets on iPhone?!

Hmm, my Widgets.app locks up, then goes back to homescreen. Are we supposed to name are widget folders something other than example.wdgt?

im lost on this one... anyone have this working that can shed some light on this? which widgets work better than others on the iphone other than the ones mentioned on the site?

Make sure you set the permissions correctly on Widgets.app and its contents. Should be 0755.

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to list widgets that work or don't work as people try them out. Just a thought.

i have a mac and all i want are the stock widgets i.e. unit converter and dictonary. how do i get them onto my phone?

Do any of the radio widgets work on the iPhone. That would be great to have. I would love to stream some shoutcast through wi-fi.

ok so i figured out my last comment but literaly none of the apps work right they just arnt like they would be its stupid like the dictonary you type it in and nothing happenes there is no enter button? and then the espn one just plain doesnt load all the way idk maybe its operator error oh and the translator just doesnt work? any help?

It may have to do w/ the java and possibly the fact the fact that we still dont have FLASH

Can anybody help:
1) I put the "widget" app into the app folder
2) I put the Widget Resources where they belong
3) I put the widgets where they belong (created the folder)
4) Restarted the iPhone

Now I have the widget app on and when I launch them the widgets show up but don't really work:
1) weahter only says cupertino and temp, can't change anything
2) calender only shows Sept, can't change anythin
3) BMI calculator is a no go
4) iCal events do not show up

ESPN is no go as well. Only see the initial front but the icon is too big so I am unable to press on the "i" to change like to football.
DO I do anything wrong?

For some weird reason it wont work for me....i see the xlaunch screen and then it goes back to the main screen....

As PF said and i missed it (thanks pf), set all your file permissions to 0755 in SSH.
