When Apple announced the 3.0 iPhone firmware, they let us all know that MMS would FINALLY be allowed.

Until now, we weren't sure whether videos would be fair game as well in MMS - but the guys over at BGR have given it a try on 3.0, and it looks like its working great.

What I wanna know is, if MMS works not does that mean that AT&T has had to change something on their end as well? I mean since SwirlyMMS has been out but it's been noted that AT&T iPhone users have to call AT&T and tell them to enable WAP PUSH or MMS whatever. But since 3.0 is out does the MMS work because of something that the software has opened up on the phone (obviously I know that the app itself is there) but what I am asking is wouldn't AT&T had to have enabled MMS on all iPhone accounts so that MMS will work with the new 3.0?

Supposedly MMS wont work on first gen iphones.... i really hope they come out with a new phone this year because I dont want the 3g, i need something new!

MMS doesn't work on the iPhone period. No audio, pics, contacts, location, or videos. You guys are going to have to upgrade to the 3G or the next one [supposedly] coming out. :/
