iPhone 3.0 Beta 2 Seeded. Now With Push!

Only a two weeks or so after iPhone 3.0 beta 1 was released Apple has seeded iPhone 3.0 beta 2 to developers registered in the iPhone Developer Program. This beta is very similar to the last one with one major addition: push! The feature that Apple promised AGES ago has finally been implemented with iPhone 3.0 beta 2 allowing developers to use the APIs to begin developing push applications. As expected this beta also has been updated for better stability and performance.
thx for the tip Alastair

The beta won't do you any goo unless you have a Dev account or you have a Dev add you to their account.

No apps have push. This is only for Devs that want to write push support into their existing apps or new apps so this really does no one any good whatsoever unless you are truly a dev.

So they can finally add push to their apps. Awesome, it's all I wanted to know. Been waiting for it since September.
So does this mean Apple turned on their push service cloud thingy so Devs can test it? Or is it like MMS where it's there but it won't work (unless you call / get things changed).

I can tell you for a fact MMS is still not working for SOME iphone 3G user

Mms Ain't working for me. Lol and so basically if you are a dev updating from beta 1 to this one is pointless?

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

im still not impressed with 3.0
we will c what they do with the final product and we will see what happens to our jailbreak software with this new one
i bet everyone here all my money (not much) that it is going to be a bit¢h to write apps for cydia on this, and that apple has taken significant measure to block our software
