Question - My 2G phone was put on a friendly member of MMI's Dev Account --- but I just upgraded to 3G.

Will the Dev account update with my new UDID?

I doubt if the Dev team will take long after it is released to jailbrake it.

"Automatically" - that's what I forgot to add. Will the account update automatically with my new UDID?

Nope. You'll need to get that phone added as well.

Has the DEV team confirmed that when OS 3.0 is released they will have a unlock for it? I just want to know if I should continue to wait for this unlock cuz I am on T-Mobile.

The Dev team has not, and will not confirm anything.
But my guess is that it won't be long after release - provided not to much goes wrong between now and then.

same, just larger flash drive 32gb, and poss. a 64gig!

I have worked at an Apple store for some time (4+) years and have a few very good dev. friends. They have had hands on in the lab but is not allowed past that (damn...) It is a white 32gb 3g with 3.0 on it and they get to sit around and tweek it. And alas I tried but no dev. copies I could get in my phone.

And like its not like Apple to jump on money and expand its empire?
They will flop to CDMA as well as GSM, no doubts about it.
The almighty dollar allows these tech computer phones that have everything but the kitchen sink to be forever upgraded and dev. by Apple and finally the apps drop that we care about.
Good on ya go CDMA, sell the BILLIONTH iPhone. Bling Bling Money aint a thing... how but putting that a few dollars of that money back into the nice aluminum back from the 1st gen. that doesnt crack. Cheap a*ses. LOL

ok i have a 3g that i updated to 3.0 then downgraded... now i want to upgrade to beta 4 and i get an error message

"the iphone could not be restored. unknown error occurred (1013)."

any ideas?

Haha ok. (I made a really stupid mistake)

If you want to update to 3.0 Beta 4 you need the Beta version of iTunes 8.2 as well.

You need to find a developer slot, they will add your IMEI, and then you will be able to run 3.0. Some devs might be giving them away, most will be selling them though...
