so are new and cool apps going to realsed on installer soon, or can the sdk only be used for iphone 2.0?

The frameworks will all change for 2.0, so most likely, no.

Besides, these new apps will require signatures, and to be added through the App Store.

Considering they will be free for devs, free to download and given access to much more (3D, OpenGL etc), I recon installer will be much less popular.

I meant the fact that ppl will stop making apps for installer to make money through apple. Just a question, what coding language do you guys use to make these apps?

Hmm June release for 2.0.
I bet that will coincide with a release of a 3G iPhone...

and am still unable to get into the Apple Developer site for iphone. Can login, but no links to it yet from that point that I can find.

well i hope 2.0 is unlockable and getting sdk apps on a jailbroken phone isnt a problem or i guess i wont be seeing any sdk on my phone lol.

It all sounds wonderful...but for us non-programming types, I do have one question..
Is there any reason to believe that we won't get an app to mod the GUI? (aside from Mr. Jobs' iron resolve to NOT let anyone mess with his "art") I mean come on...I'm sure someone has all ready started ripping apart the SDK to see about making a program to mod the stock images..
