Here at MMi we have always been into theming the iPhone ever since we first replaced the icons using some good ol' iPhuc back in 2007. Since then theming has advanced tremendously with innovations like Summerboard on Installer and finally ended up where it is at today with Winterboard and Cydia bringing many 100's of free user generated themes to the iPhone.

We've been thinking to ourselves lately "we love iphone theming and we love giving away prizes." Combining the two together we are proud to bring you the MMi Ultimate iPhone Theming Contest where we are giving away hundreds of paid App Store apps!

To enter simply create an iPhone theme and submit it to contest@modmyi.com within the next 10 days.

The Details:

• Themes should be in proper WinterBoard format. If you dont know how to do that, check our WinterBoard forum for help or Saurik's Winterboard page.
• Themes should consist of at minimum:
  - Lockscreen
  - Sliders
  - Default icon replacements (Apple Stock apps and WinterBoard and Cydia).
  - .psd of your icon base so end users can create their own to match Alright well you don't have to include a .psd. People have presented me with countless reasons why they can't include a .psd so instead of me taking a half hour on each one of these I am changing the rules. We still STRONGLY recommend you include a .psd
  - battery
  - 100% original work. No gathered images you found from LOST media kits or Britney Spears TMZ shots. This is REAL original themes. "Well I put these all together myself from all around the net" means you didn't make it. You just found it. A Leopard theme is NOT original - first, there are dozens out there already, and second, there is NO original work done in a Leopard theme - you're just pulling icons from your laptop. This is for ORIGINAL work. No you CAN'T use just anyone's glyph - artist's permission needs to be granted, unless it is royalty free work to begin with, in which case a link to proof of that is needed.
  - Do not enter a theme you have already published it publically on Cydia. New themes only.
  - Any more is DEFINITELY helpful. UI, HUD, keyboard, etc - all are good and will help your cause.
• Please include appropriate screenshots while submitting.
• All themes entered will be posted to Cydia on the MMi source - and the author will retain full rights and ownership of all materials.
• If we think it sucks, we WILL not post it to Cydia.
• Contest runs for 10 days (submissions must be in by Midnight March 16th).
• Entries will be voted on publicly and the top 5 picks will be voted on by a board to choose the top 3. Users that registered after March 5th can vote but the vote will not count in final standings (defense against fraudulent voting). Voting will last two days.

The Prizes:

• First Place gets one of every app below and $125 iTunes Gift Card
• Second Place gets one of every app and $100 iTunes Gift Card
• Third Place gets one of every app and $75 iTunes Gift Card
• Notice I said we are giving away hundreds of apps. There are only forty forty one forty two listed below. That means a ton of ppl that don't place in the top three will be receiving all of the apps or a large chunck of the apps! Even if you don't win odds are good that you will win!

The Fine Print

You must have a valid iTunes account to claim your apps. You must have a valid mailing address to receive the iTunes Gift Card prizes. If an app is not avaialble in the iTunes App Store in your contry then it will not be possible to collect. Don't cheat in voting -- we are taking steps to prevent cheating but there are some people that have collected multiple accounts here at MMi and we know who you are. Vote with each of your accounts and your entry will be removed. We reserve the right to change or modify any and all contest details if necessary. .psd files are photoshop files that contain all the changes to the image not just the flatened image that u normally get
