steven has grounds for his reasoning. he is a great developer and needs to be respected for his work and decissions. thats my take on it. i would like to see a possible SDK or somethign for widgets...so maybe people could make like ipod, sms, email etc widgets. that would be niceThe beatings will continue until morale improves.

Well, i hope its not like that app on cydia that switches the tabs (forgot the name) it gets pretty annoying while you are playing games or browing. You just sliding through whatever you're doing, minding your own business and suddenly you are switching tabs and you've lost your progress. I dont know if they fixed that bug, but this Dashboard could be causing the same problem... I just hope it doesnt.

Some things seem to be more amazing the more they cost.
Or, at least, so Apple think....He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

Why would anyone want dashboard on the iPhone? What advantage would it have over simply opening an app?

Forget dashboard......Who do I have to jerk off to get dock (sunburst) back on the ihpone? That was one of my most favorite programs.
Docs was way better than stacks and categories.
