Default Working Voicemail with an Unlocked iPhone
The guys at hackint0sh have discovered a way to get the voicemail working on the unlocked iPhones.

Here is the method, props to the DevWiki and Hackint0sh for figuring it out!

NOTE: This already works with carriers who's name shows up in the top of the iPhone, namely, T-Mobile.

I never had any probs with my voicemail. My voicemail worked out of the box on T-Mobile.

    Thanks anyway.

Just voicemail. Without the visual voicemail software/server on the carrier side and the feature (soc) provisioned to your mobile number you won't have visual voicemail.

It makes the Voicemail button in your phone app work for your standard voicemail for other carriers. As noted above, this already worked for t-mobile.

    Default SMS notification / voicemail
    Hello everybody,

I guess everybody who is not using the iphone with AT&T has the same problem : No SMS notification of the voicemail system.

Well I had some checks with the t-mobile hotline (Germany) and they couldŽnt find something irregular from their point of view.

The funny thing : Suddenly after some days (with SMS notification disabled and callback notification enabled) I recieved a SMS of my voicemail.

The strange thing about it : The date was 01.01.1978 time 0:00h, so I guess the SMS are still send to the phone, but missinterpreted for any reason.

Is there anybody out there, who has skills about SMS protocoll formats ?
