It updates every 15 minutes by default, but it does not use a background thread which is what kills he battery. It will simply update the next time you unlock or close an app.

The current release has some messed up weather images (sorry, I didn't spend too much time on the icons... more on the code). If you download the Weather Icon Stock theme from macthemes, it's more accurate. This will be fixed in the next release.

I opened up the weather and reset my default location

Yeah....I really want to suggest the MMi owner to give "alek" some kind of winning prize for this one for sure. He make my day. I'm pretty sure I'm experiencing a noticeable battery drain. Its not horrific by any means, but its definitely there. Does it update every 15 mins. or every time you unlock your phone/close an app, or all of the above? Also, if it is every 15 mins, then wont it drain the battery even if its only a marginal amount (just like with push)?

Whatever the case, its much appreciated!

Yup. I also installed the LiveTime app for the clock icon and that does the same thing. Both still show blank icons. I've played with turning on and off other WB themes as well as resetting my weather location.

Any other ideas?

Strange!? I have both of it too with out problems. Works as a charm. Hmmmm.....
Try this plist. Find the file Library/Themes/Weather Icon.theme/Bundles/com.apple.springboard/com.ashman.WeatherIcon.plist on your iPhone or iPod Touch. (but u have to change locations by edit it ur self, I have set it to update every 45 minutes)
