According to an interview with Joswiak by GearLog, Apple's stance is neutral about all this third party stuff. Basically, they don't mind at all, although they will not be OFFICIALLY supporting it.

I have just gotten my iPhone back from Apple. They replaced the antenna and of course wiped all my mods. I have been trying to jailbreak and iphuc my phone so I can reinstall installer.app and ssh but now nether seem to work anymore. They both crash as soon as the restore screen comes up. I have the newest version of iFuntastic and it does not work either.

Has this happened to any one else?

Is there a solution?

Please help.

In case you haven't seen it yet, apparently Apple has done a 180 on this issue. They're now saying any updates will "most likely break" any 3rd party apps.
