Is it the same method as had been posted before? By renaming the file extension? or is it something new? How about that app that was posted above yours? is that any good? The only reason why i am asking this because as it stands now iTunes will allow you put files that are less 200kb. Thats like 10 sec.

This thread is referring specifically to the buy-it-from-itunes ringtones. This functionality is new including purchasing and editing of new, purchased ringtones from within iTunes.

Yeah i know this method, i am using it. But like i said there is a size limit for this method and that sucks.

I tried to app which I posted above and it works like a charm.
You need to have an AAC file with extension .m4a (if you have .mp4 just replace the mp4 with m4a). Now simply drag the song onto the app and it is in the Ringtone folder in iTunes and will sync well. If you don't have a ringtone folder yet, then it will be automatically created.

I just tried this as well, and it seems to work just fine. And there is no size limit on the ring tone. Awesome progee. And great tutorial J man.

Hi I still dont quite know how to put in ringtones on my iphone, can u please help me. I already have itunes 7.4 and even bought a ringtone from the itunes store but i still cant get it to go under the ringtone icon.
