same here. use to work excellent in toodledo and notebook, i could just double tap and drag which would highlight and copy/cut. now it almost never works in these apps and as mentioned the menu pops up for no reason when i move between screens in my apps. The first or second release of this was my favorite, it seemed to just work.

0.98 seems to reduce that annoying pop-ups. Give it a try.
The second choice: if you use sbsettings install clippy switch. ver. 0.2 worked for me as it should.

0.98 brings a few slight improvements for me: some App Store apps now work. Cydia doesn't yet, and in the App Store I can still only copy headers/titles.
The other news is that it will not be a paid program but donationware. A bit inevitable in the light of Apple's announcement I guess, but still welcome news.Windows tool to edit .plist, .strings and .nib files: pledit.
Or use a website that will convert the binary form to a readable format.
On iPhone you can convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities from Cydia), or edit them with iFile (from Cydia).

yes the update does appear to make the fields in toodledo work more reliably now. This is better for sure. I guess it depends on how natural the gestures are in apples implementation of copy/paste vs a third party such as clippy. If clippy flows better I'll continue to use that, granted not sure if apples version can be disabled, etc... Keep the updates coming though!

When I highlight text I get the option of Cut, Copy, Paste ETC.. but when I go somewhere to insert it I cant get the popup back!! Even when I hit the 123 key nothing pops up.

I like clippy but I am definitely liking apple's implementation better. The one thing that it lacks over clippy would be a clipboard.

So after 3.0 comes out, is Clippy gonna be dead? I mean, if the iPhone has it's own version, there doesn't seem to be a reason to keep Clippy, right?

Clippy has a clipboard - no doubt they will add other features that are missing from the official solution so I'm sure there will always be a demand - whether the demand is enough for the developer to continue developing is another matter and I'm sure lots of people will be satisfied with the built in C&P.
