Could this also mean my 2G iphone could connect with my bluetooth GPS?
If so I will wait and not get a 3G iphone. No need anymore

lol...i find this too funny..come on....the phone really sux you know? it doesn't even rule Ohio. Many of the features we are dying to have already exist in pre-historic cellphones....come one....don't be the typical fanboy and let Apple knows they actually suck and come up with some better stuff.

We are very, VERY exited about our project and the path it is taking. We are extremely positive we will be able to bring you the bluetooth that everyone has come to expect of a smart phone, but that the iPhone is lacking.
Our team is committed to bringing you all requests you desire to make the ultimate bluetooth app for the iPhone. And just to sweeten the pot, if someone can do the job a little better or has their own original ideas, we hope to eventually make the project completely open source. But for now, were keeping our secrets tight.
We do need a little support, like any other project. But this one is a little more difficult then some others, and highly time consuming. A small donations of any amount is sufficient, but by NO reason required, and we will give those who get behind us special privileges, such as first shot at betas and exclusive information. Just what you do to look after those who look after you.
For all the latest information head over to ibluetoothproject.tk.

Awesome work guys! I just want to throw my 2 cents in on the bluetooth feature that would be awesome.
The ability to program the bluetooth button to launch an app (voice dial app for example).
I can't believe apple left this out, as it makes using the iphone more safe. Its too hard to call someone when your driving on say, the freeway.

This is nice. It will finally shut up the whiners who think that plugging the damn thing into your USB port for a file transfer is just too much to ask.... Some, but few, have mentioned the useful feature of pushing the bluetooth on your headset to get voicedialing going. This is the number one feature I miss most!
The sad part is that we need a third party to work so incredibly hard to add simple features that some lazy Apple devs left off. Not to mention Apple will probably just implement this if they find bluesnow to be stable and sought after! Keep up the good work guys!Last edited by sziklassy; 01-04-2009 at 03:24 AM.

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

This will be sooo cool as the only thing(apart from lack of stock MMS) that stops the iPhone being the ultimate gadget in my eyes is the lack of Bluetooth file transfer/wireless ears.

I agree 100%. I actually went and brought a Imate JasJam about 3 months after getting the iPhone as this phone is a piece of sh!te. It's a toy compared to other phones on the market. For phone features this is on the bottom of the list. I've seen a phone recycling bin with really old phones that can do more than the iphone and people are throwing them away. That shows you how pathectic the iphone really is.
