Update #4 on Dev Team Blog:

The unlock will silently quit on anything other than baseband 02.28.00. It detects the wrong version and just quits to avoid any damage. Please double check your Modem Firmware setting in Settings->General->About.

That's why it matters.

Hello, I was wondering will there be any possibilities in the future of being able to use t-mobile 3g on the 3g iphone? Maybe a program can be made that will allow us to do it? So far i look all over the web and i still haven't found that answer.
