LOL I KNOW. I BET THERE IS NOT ONE PERSON ON TMOBILE THAT CAN MAKE A CALL I GUARANTEE THE IDIOT WITH THE NY-TX 10 MIN CALL WAS AN INCOMING

Im in San Antonio, Texas on Tmobile everything works,safari,email,text ,incoming with 5 bars and edge icon and BAM when i call out bars are lost and "call failed" i knew i should have waited a day or so!!!!

T-Mobile USA here a step to get your to Work
1. Install yellowsn0w thru cydia, keep your T-Mobile Sim in the iphone
2. Reset Network Setting "Most important" 99% success rate will depend on this
3. Reboot your inphone
4. Wait a little over a min.
5. Remove your sim card and re-insert it back in
6. Wait 30 sec.
7. Turn on Airplane mode and wait 10 sec. "This is important as well"
8. Turn of Airplane mode, you should see "searching" start smiling T-Mobile carrier will start appearing.
9. Start make call!

I didn't do step #2 when I did mine.

I am going to go do it now. Will report back in 10 minutes or so when I know for sure if this works AND I can make a call.

Just now 6:22 cell to home 5 bars whole time. I would agree maybe it's buggy. Maybe it depends on location? Think about all the folks trying the same thing right now over the tmobile network? Just a thought... But I'm having no issues.

anybody had any problems getting their applications on the phone? iTunes keeps saying the apps cant be verified

yeah bball me and u on the same exact page lol unfortunately, i tried the dudes steps and they didnt work. Same results so i guess we'll be waiting for a fix with just sms and incoming

I keep getting Invalid SIM after I turn Airplane Mode on and off after 10 seconds....

Wow, all the hype of this being so great, then all the fails.
The Dev Team will make a fix, its just a matter of when.

ok finally i give up. its not working for me.
im in canada. iphone with Fido contract.
i run yellow snow, reboot, put Rogers sim in it and phone right away goes to slide for emergency .
i dont get access to the phone until i pull that sim out.
tried many things. still no GO.
i'll wait until this has been fixed.For sure this unlock procedure did not go as smooth as for the 2G iphone.. or even as smooth as th dev team demoed it in the QIK video.

I see a lot of ppl are having trouble so i will repeat what i did step by step and hopefully it will work for you.

Before the update I was running 2.1 fw
So...

1. I updated my fw through itunes
2. Used Quickpwn to jailbreak
3. Reset Network Settings (Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network)
4. Downloaded yellowsn0w via wifi (after i added the source of course)
5. rebooted (my tmobile sim has been in the WHOLE time w/o turbosim)
6. ejected sim for 2 min
7. inserted sim and I had full bars
8. changed cellular data settings for tmobile internet

Now i will say that it did not happen for me the first time. So if its not working fo you dont get too discouraged, just keep trying!

i was so excited at first when i saw the tmobile....same problems as everyone else, plumbers fix didnt work..t mobile sim back in 2g iphone working great on 2.2 hahaha

we all have full bars, and I used the same method you did...we just can't make a phone call. We can surf the net, SMS, receive calls...just can't make em.

I dont get this. Mine works just fine.receiving calls , making calls , app store , tmobile edge works .And holds 5 bars at all time , much better that my 2g .

Alright idk what wrong but its not working with my phone, well i have a iPhone 3G 16G and i cant get it into DFU mode.. there is and error (2001) or something but i do have the custom firmware made i just cant get it to restore, help? i think it might be because of my Mac OSX version? 10.5.6 is what i have, can i get it to work? i have the new baseband 2.28.00

Edit: ok got it to get into recovery mode, but now when i try to restore it to the custom firmware i get and error (21) saying it could not restore the iPhone, can anyone help me out here? i'm about to give up, this is annoying. gahh..
