I know, I am sure that since I am up and running perfect on 0.9.5 that when 0.9.6 comes out you will be running perfect also.

P.S. I Hate You! Wink, Wink.

Well I don't have to use Airplane, but I do have to pop SIM in/out...so airplane or that for me for now on 9.5 :/

I'd be nice to just power on and have service though

5. reboot phone
6. Give the phone at least a minute to boot up
7. if it doesn't register use airplane mode
8. once you get signal take out the borrowed sim and insert yours

I am not saying this is guaranteed to work, I am just trying to help.

For those having issues with yellowsn0w, here is what I did. This exactly what I did with 0.9.5 and it is 100% successful without any errors.
1. I download 0.9.5
2. I power off(doesn't matter from power button/bosspref/sb)
3. I power up with the 3rd party sim in and it stays with no signal or no carrier.
4. I then turn on Airplane mode and off and it says invalid sim.
5. Next I take out and re insert and again it shows no signal.
6. Finally I open up Bosspref and I toggle on and off 3G and EDGE(sometimes up to 10 times) about give it 3 seconds in between on and off then the 3rd party carrier shows up and signal is perfect and stays perfect. I can make and rec calls. Send and rec text messages. Email, safari. etc. I can even power off and on and the carrier shows up right away. I only have to repeat this when I put back in my original carrier's sim.

I'm with the guy that can only call through the contacts button and then they have to hang up. I'm gonna restore and start fresh when I get home.

Im on ATT after upgrading to 0.9.5 my signal went in and out. After trying all the steps mentioned on this board nothing seemed to work.

this is what i did:

I ssh to iphone with cyberduck to System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.iphone-dev.yellowsn0w.plist
And set permissions to 777

Didnt even need to reboot it started working right away. no need to turn on/off airplane mode

anyway,

i have a tmobile US 39.01a sim and this is what i did

iphone into recovery mode
itunes restore to 2.2
pwnage custom firmware (i hate installer and dont want it on my phone and i want a 1000mb partition. plus i like the pwnapple but i hate the recovery logo quikpwn on mac is all automated)
restore to custom in itunes
go into cydia and update
return to cydia and update again
install sbsettings
reboot with sbsettings
install yellowsn0w .95
reboot with sbsettings
wait at lock screen until "no service" appears.
remove sim and wait 10 seconds
reinsert sim
THIS WILL ONLY HAVE TO BE DONE ONCE
u will have full tmobile service WITH OUTGOING
if you insert sim and still nothing, reboot with sbsettings and wait even longer after you see "no service"
now try airplane mode on and then off
if it searches for only a second and back to no bars, remove sim and then reinsert

after reboot it just connects to tmobile and works
no airplane mode or sim pullin
