-c is pretty self explanatory.

OK so apparently using the -q switch is a good thing...

When I put the phone in airplane mode then take it off again I get invalid sim message

You connect your iphone to itunes and hit the restore button, that is how you get the 2.2 firmware.

Finally got it working!!

i tried 2 sims from the same network, only 1 worked, i then switched them over and Voila! full bars, sms working too. ( have to have 3g switched off )

1)why do i need to activate it when i run quickpwn to jailbreak it?

2) More of a request: can someone PLZ post a list with the errors that might happen with yellowsn0w and solutions if there are any

1. Im not sure if i understand your question? You need your phone activated to us it.

2. As of this time there have been no lists of errors nor how to fix them. If you do run into an error I would "re start" your phone. (hold home and power for 10 seconds) then go into Cydia and remove the yellowsn0w app

u need to activate it or else u wont be able to use it at all. itunes wont activate it for u with a tmobile sim in it. stop asking questions and go do it then ask questions

my iphoen3g was aleady on 2.2 with the 2.28 baseband and already jailbroke.
so i downloaded yellowsn0w, tunred off the phone, put the other sim card in. rebooted and now the phone only shows "emergency calls only" and in the top corner i have no carrier.

tried connecting to itunes, says sim card not supported.
tried taking sim card in and out, waited few minutes. still nothing

Hi

I installed yellosn0w in 3G(2.28.00) but got a drop call every 30 second using original ATT Sim. I watting to get home to try another sim card or take mine out and put it back in to see if work that way. I will keep posting.

One thing i did find is that when you reboot ur device, you have to eject your sim and put it back in after 2 min. But i think the dev team explains this.

I dont think thats even a possibility in the near future because of the different freq each carriers 3G service use. Im not an expert so maybe someone could explain it better.

my 3g was already jailbroken to 2.2
i downloaded yellowsnow turn it off then on
let it sit for 2 mins only seen a line with no bars
now i got no service..it saids
