hi everyone can someone plz list the errors that might happen and the solution for them if there is any because i can't risk upgrading to 2.2 and using yellowsn0w and then it doesn't work. in addition, just to be sure do i restore to 2.2 or upgrade to 2.2? Also, if i have to restore not upgrade can someone post the link to the website i have to go to to get the restore.

To user eatyellowsn0w: your sources are not "official" dev team sources and therefore will not have immediate updates.. this software is still in BETA! I do not want our members using your source and reporting it's not working if they happen to be using an older version. Thank you for your consideration.

1. Plug into iTunes and hit RESTORE.
2. Quickpwn to jailbreak/activate
3. Add yellowsn0w source to cydia (from dev team blog)
4. Unlock phone using instructions.

do you have to have your tmobile sim card inside the iphone 3g when restoring to 2.2 and when jailbreaking the 2.2, or you leave it out until everything is finish..the restoring and jailbreaking

thx Poseidon79 but i have two more questions:

can u plz post the link to where i can get the restore to 2.2 with BB needed for the unlock.

in addition, when i run quickpwn to jailbreak it, why do i need to activate it?

Works!!

I upgraded through itunes to the new 2.2 fw.
Reset my network settings (not sure if that was needed)
Installed Yellow Snow
Rebooted
Ejected sim for 2 min
Reinserted and TADA!!

Tmobile USA with FULL BARS!!
