Dev Team Updating 3G Unlock
Author: BigBoss // Category: Jailbreak
The dev team is still releasing updates for their 3g unlock. It is important that you update regularly if YellowSn0w is not working great for you. They also released some hints on their web site:
1) If you are on tmobile USA you should disable 3g in settings or sbsettings.
2) YellowSn0w does not work with a SIM PIN. You must disable your SIM card pin lock.
As I said, if YellowSn0w is not working great for you, keep checking their web site for updates.
If yellowsn0w isn’t working for you take out your sim card and look at the numbers printed on it. There are 4 horizontal rows of numbers and 1 vertical. Look at the first 2 digits of the vertical row of numbers if it starts with 36 or higher you will not be able to use yellowsn0w (yet). Dev-Team is aware of the problem and is working on fixing it.
There is also a user-generated success and failure report here.

what I don't understand is why my old school SIM card, with a 37.XX, didn't work when it sounds like everyone else I've seen with 3.7 worked.
And I'm not just talking how I couldn't make calls, I couldn't get jack sh*t, not even a signal.
Anyone care to take a guess on that one?
****EDIT****
after reading the post above me, I see 37.XX now might not work, but I coulda sworn I have seen 37.XX users throughout this thread saying they were good to go.
hmmmmm

After installing the Yellowsnow I couldn't use the 3G service on my AT&T...I've tried everything and finally decided to restore it. Did I do anything wrong??

LOL PMSkilla you remind of those annoying PROXYCARDS, i guess Stealth uses you as PIGGYBACK, haha!!!
copy and pasted from Dev-Team blog: Dev-Team Blog
Plato:
TMobile Chicago USA Version 37.05a worked like a CHARM...Sheer Perfection, I also tested 38.xx and a BRAND NEW TMobile SIM card which was encrypted with a ton of numbers including 525033... these two had no success what so ever...The TMobile logo and bars come up, however when attempting to make a call the call screen freezes and all bars and logo are lost.

I think i found the problem. Its the problem with the newer sim card . If the serial # is before 3900 it works. i had the same problem. I changed my sim and now its working perfectly. calls in/out, test in/out, edge, 3g is not working but edge is. if you can change your sim and you will be fine. let me know if it help...

Update on My Tmobile sim:
I was able to get everthing BUT the calls out to work. I was able to receive call, send and received text and use internet using tzones. Like with everyone else whenever i tried making a call it would fail and lose all signal bars.
After reading that some sim cars might work, i deceided to try my moms sim card which she has had for awhile...... AND EVERYTHIG WORKS!!!!!!!!!
I was able to MAKE CALLS OUT, receive calls. Send and receive text. The first 2 numbers in the sim card are (26).
Can tmobile swap simcard info?
