Y'all just don't get it... the people in the USA that have gotten it to work 100% with outgoing calls have OLD SIM cards. If you have a newer SIM card NOTHING you do will make it work until the dev team figures it out with an update.

I have a three network card and have tried the above, this is without a turbo sim.
It worked baby, it worked!!!!! 3 days without my mobile!!!
The phone still goes from signal to no signal, while at home, but it did this before.
I have 30 text messages I now have to read.
Thanks to the Dev team and to Turntablist!!!!!

Dude your a lame, we got screwed because of our own judgement? Yeah for what trusting the DEV TEAM who up until yellowsn0w has never done us dirty? I don't care if it is BETA or not, judging from that demo video that was posted, the DEV TEAM had everything looking soooo good when they had originally cracked 2.11.07, but now at the last minute they wanna change ***** up on us. Why the hell just not release BOTH VERSIONS??? That way since this is a "BETA" then at least people could still stay on 2.11.07 and "TEST" the beta out. I mean ***** it's not like they had to do any extra work seeing as how they already had the 2.11.07 version all compiled and ready to go.
HAHA man you must be posting in your dream!
Well Mr. President in case you didn't realize it but this is a DISCUSSION FORUM, and the thread topic just happens to be titled "3G IPHONE UNLOCKED" to which people are DISCUSSING the unlocking of their 3G iphones, 90% of whom are encountering a total FAILURE!!! So how is people having issues and posting up about them being MISLEADING??
lmao
How old is old?

If it's still not working for you, try going to settings => general => reset => reset network settings with version 0.9.4. That made the unlock work for me, incoming/outgoing calls work, 3G web surfing works, carrier showed up very quickly with no sim reinsertion.

If you have Tmobile USA, wait until the Dev Team works out the glitches. Yesterday was spent tinkering with the unlock and trying to make and receive calls to no avail. It seems as though other carriers are working, but Tmobile isn't. We tried everything we could...installing, reinstalling, rebooting, etc. It ended with having to eject the sim in between making or receiving any call. For now, stick with the turbo sim until the glitches are worked out, if not, you will be carrying around a paperclip with you everywhere.

does anyone know if yellowsn0w will work with a SOU-1.0 (t-mobile) sim card?...
i got the unlock (texts and edge) to work but cant make calls... so it would appear that the sim card isnt the problem.... any help?Last edited by iFrankie; 01-02-2009 at 11:48 AM.

I got it to work finally after the 94 version. I have an old sim but I am not sure how to check which version it is. This sim always tell me I have a phantom voicemail every time I power up the phone even though nothing on the server. Upon restart the phone, all i need to do is turn the phone to fly mode on and off and it works again. No command line or anything. I am on T-Mobile USA West coast.
SMS works send/receive
Phone call works out/in
Edge works
GPS works.
