hi i followed these steps

1. recover your iphone to 2.2 with bb 2.28.00 affter ready close itunes dont sync, activate or nothing just close it!!!

2. quickpwn it with installer and cydia installed

3. when phone is ready connect to wifi,got to cydia, when opend for the first time ignore the update for cydia
and install first mobileterminal and affter sbsettings from cydia.

4. turn off data roaming and 3g connection from settings !!!!!

5. install yellowsn0w from installer affter adding the source http://i.yellowsn0w.comoffcource

5. slide ur finger from top left to right on the screen to get sbsettings open

6. press power button from sbsettings and from the popup restart button.

7. when phone is reset wait for 20-30 secs and go to mobile terminal

8.
Go to terminal
type yellowsn0w -c
type yellowsn0w -q
airplane mode on
airplane mode off

U need To Do this Everytime u reboot

3. to whoever runs this site i would ban anyone who seriously complained and admitted to charging people for it..this thread should have been only maybe 5 pages seriously its the two problems amped by almost 20 it either didnt work or you cant make calls..again it was amazing.

i'm not a scam artist, found this method to work great just want to share it. test it yourself to see if it work, cause mine work great. you got nothing to loose.. and do some research in the dev blog . click here Dev-Team Blog - Don't eat yellowsn0w! ...... read on the updates part for tmobil usa. i copy and paste the quote below read it .

If you are in the U.S. and are trying this with T-Mobile, you must turn off the 3G switch in Settings. Also if you are good with the command line, you can make it much easier by adding the line -q right after the /usr/bin/yellowsn0w line in /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.iphone-dev.yellowsn0w.plist (that’s and advanced tip, hopefully someone will make a boosprefs type of tool for it)

hmm what can i say? i am very greatful to the dev team for takin the time to do this for us i do. but. ive went thru this installed yellow snow. i know i did it right because it actually unlocked my phone...i have my tmobile sim in it as we speak..i can recieve calls..recieve text and all..but once i try making a call..lmao BAMN service goes away!! all my bars disappear and he only way to get it back is to take out the sim car for 5 seconds and put it back in. so..i have to say sorry dev im disappointed. wellk appreciated but i think u guys shouldnt release a program until it works 100% thats why we got beta testers and such...i would have rather waited and have a full working program then going thru the hassle of trynna make this work. when it doesnt work 100% and yes my 3g is toggled off..and i followed all the instructions down to the teeth

Fully funtional here after 5 hours of reading. Calls in and out, text in and out. Edge works. 8 gig 3g, Tmobile USA. Orange County California. The main thing that did it for me was reboot in BOSSprefs and leave it alone for 5 mins, then airplane mode.

Kindly Stick your f*ed uped 3G in ur backend and then shove it in your throat. Keep gaging and after 1min, yellowsn0w will unlock your cellular one 3G network aswell. Best of luck.

Devs, how about starting a report form submission thread in the news, people strictly post back their feedback and then you build a sort of report grid out of it, like: yellowsn0w feedback

BUT ACCURATE as orange UK works for sure, and lots are missing.

That would be the most helpful thing for us, the readers, right now. Not a 36 page thread of misleading crap from selfish people bashing the dev team. Wankers.

With v0.9.4 of Yellowsn0w I can..

• Send and receive text messages
• Use Edge network
• Receive calls

I can NOT..

• Make calls

With the new version of yellowsn0w, once I make a call and the network drops off, I can toggle the airplane mode on and off to get the cell service back. I could not due this with older versions. Getting closer I guess..

just done the update then reboot took turbo sim out and workt straight away no problem but it doesnt work after a reboot

It worked for me by turning airplane mode on then off after installing 0.9.4 and a reboot. Sweet!

the problem with that its just to much messing about and you have to do every time you need a reboot best thing is stick with turbo sim until a new update comes.ive had mine working without doing that but the same it doesnt work after reboot

How old is your tmobile sim card? For those who are with tmobile in the US and can make calls pls post how old your sim card is? I lost my phone so I had to get a new sim card so mine is less than a month and I cannot make any phone calls however my wife phone sim card is over 1 yr old and I still can't call out. Everything else works fine!

Although I don't need an unlock since I have no intention on using anything but AT&T I tried this anyway. Worked fine yesterday however when I updated to 0.9.4 my service was going from full bars to zero bars to no service every few seconds so I completely removed it. It's still a bit unstable. Not knocking it since I give HUGE props to the Dev team for doing this. They deserve every once of respect.

I feel bad for anyone who updated there bb and now are unable to unlock the phone, and does not have turbo/gravy sim for 2.2.

Thanks, I put the devs team 2.2 release on my phone, but still can not get it to work.

From what I can gather, the following simple steps are needed:

1. iphone 3g 2.1, on 2.1 fw baseband (not 02.28) which was not jailbroken and was using a turbo sim (working fine)

2. the iphone is now 2.2fw, with 02.28 baseband, jailbroken and using a turbo sim. (no service)

3. Connect phone to PC and go to itunes, update phone, which puts the phone back to recovery mode i.e all music, videos, including meus etc have gone.
4. Follow procedure to take it out of recovery mode, disconnect phone from PC hold home and reconnect. Itunes opnes, hold shift key and select restore.
5. Should now have a non jailbroken phone, but still on 02.28 baseband. Follow the proicess to jailbreak, using Quickpwn and downloaded 2.2fw.
6. Once phone is back to icons etc....go into cydia and follow the yellowsn)w process.
7. The phone should now work with a turbo sim (using 3 network sim card) with fw 2.2 and 02.28 baseband.

Question: does the Dev Teams update allow any turbo sim to be used in the iphone (wether the turbo sim is designed to be used on 2.1 or 2.2)

Any thoughts on the above, as my phone is still no service and I intend on going through the baove process.

got mine to work....... 8gig 3g blk iphone unlock for tmobile usa....
i'm here in california using tmobil. i found this on another website and it work perfectly fast and easy. no need to play arround with bosspreff or airplane mode. i'm not sure if i can post a link here or not? if it against this site policy please remove.

step 1: iphone must be 2.2 firmware with 2.28 modem.
step 2: jailbreak using quickpwn2.2 can be found in search
step 3: go to cydia install openssh
step 4: go to cydia ( add edit source already posted in the topic)
step 5: install yellowsn0w. and reboot phone..
step 6: ssh click on the link Hack that Phone - Unlocking the 3G iPhone with QuickPwn and follow the step 5-finish.



After 4 hours of trying almost everything on this thread...this one worked for me...Incoming/Outgoing calls...
