This is the greatest Christmas gift ever! Probably the best gift I have ever received
I just wonder if I will have to restore to unlock my phone. Either way this is a great treat for all us iPhone 3G owners.
Happy New Year to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the blog comments it says 11:59 PST as that's where the dev team that's releasing it is located.

This is all confusing.... Will "YellowSn0w" work or not on the newest baseband?

It looks like it will, or it may be a teaser of a 2.28 baseband unlock to come in the future.
Will wait to hear more from dev team though

Only if you want to access third part development (apps) or use your phone in another country and not have to pay for the roaming (slipping in a sim card from a local carrier)
