course I have also heard a few reports of the phone asking to be activated via itunes after unlocking and then refusing to work with itunes even with a att sim leaving the phone useless . . . time will tellThank you for your interest in iPhoneUnlocking.com
We have had a rather busy day with over 130,000 requests for help
unlocking Apple iPhones.
Unfortunately it isn't all good news, we have some small problems.
The good news is, we are able to generate unlock codes that will
allow some functionality on the handset. However, you will not be
able to use luxury features e.g. Visual voicemail, no other network
supports these features.
The bad news is, we are having a few issues with iTunes. iTunes
seems to be kicking up a bit of a fuss when syncing with the
handset. This issue is being resolved by applying a small patch to
your iTunes software that will prevent it running certain routines
when syncing with the handset.
We are beta testing these codes and software with a small percentage
(~2%) of users.
We are working as hard and as fast as we can to be able to offer this
service to you with a full guarantee.
You should hear from us soon.
Thank you for you patience,
James Baker

Are these guys offering this service for free? If so, I wonder what they get out of it. I'm tempted to try cause my wife still has a few months until her contract with Tmobile is up

Ya, I got their email too. I am not sure how legit it is. At the very least, they just scooped up 130,000 emails of which each could afford an iPhone. Those emails are worth some money.

If it is free (and I bet it is) they are getting a lot of experience very quickly on how to hack into this phone. Once they have a stable, working solution they will charge for their service, and people will pay for it. Then Apple will probably try to release some patch that turns the tables on the unlockers, or not. I remember way back when Zone Alarm was free, the company learned from feedback from users and now charge for the product.

Nah, they ask you for your credit card number before they'll give you the code.
