Receive MMS on the iPhone

SwirlySpace, the guys who brought us the MMS app back in December, have updated to version 0.3, which now lets you receive MMS!
This is "very rough" according to them, but a new version will be released soon after which will be much more polished. The good news is - it works. MMS receiving on the iPhone! It should appear on Installer within 24 hours.
http://blog.swirlyspace.com/
You can add this from Swirly's source until Ste gets it up - swirlyspace.com/SwirlySpace.xml and add version 0.3.2.
A list of carrier settings can be found here.
T-Mobile USA's settings are (thanks, insomniaparatus):
T-Mobile (USA)
MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
MMS-APN: wap.voicestream.com

cant wait for this can i install it manually
update:
Ok guys, I will ease your pain. Do the following:
1) Uninstall your current SwirlyMMS
2) Add the following source to the installer: swirlyspace.com/SwirlySpace.xml
3) Install the package named "SwirlyMMS from Swirlyspace", ver 0.3.1. Follow the installation instructions (which means you must restart your phone when installation has finsihed)
4) Have fun
update 2:
installed it on 1.1.4 teste on sending and receiving both worked perfectly...

Just blew an MMSy load.
Update!
Just tested MMS on the Optus Mobile Network down here in Australia
Here are the values for Optus:
Working 100% Both Sending and Receiving. Super Fast connection when connected (the 'M' icon turns green)! Really impressive.MMSC: mmsc.optus.com.au:8002/
PROXY: 61.88.190.10:8070/
APN: MMS
USER+PASS: (left blank)
Unfortunately, you cannot view the MMS directly off the aplication - or send a breif comment along side the photo!
If they send a comment, it gets saved as a .TXT file in your iphones Media Section.
To the SwirlySpacer's in the forum!
Please let us view the Picture + text in the Application! I know its not impossible!
Also send the Picture too our Camera Roll (so we can forward it or use it as wallpaper later)!
Thanks.Last edited by mofolo; 03-02-2008 at 11:12 PM.

I had difficulties with previous versions of swirlyMMS, but this works just great. I was able to send and receive MMS on TMobile UK with no trouble! :-)

not working
Before installing, when i recieved an MMS, I would at least get a text message saying go to viewmymessage.com blah blah blah.....
Now, after spending two hours getting swirly to launch, I am getting no SMS saying i have a message waiting and swirly is not getting them either.
Anyone?
Apple is really dropping the ball with making this thing live up to its potential!Last edited by tootootoo; 03-02-2008 at 07:21 AM.

Getting closer but not quite
I have downloaded the new version of Swirly MMS.When i try to receive an MMS i get the following message-(im with O2 in the UK )
Cannot fetch MMS
MMS cannot be fetched right now
since GPRS/EDGE is not available
Please review your MMS and/or
Edge APN settings, or wait a while
if settings are correct...
If i hit fetch again after the above message i get the following-
failed toGET.timeout or error when reading http header
Could not fetch any MMS
Check your settings
Does anyone have the O2 UK settings that i need...
These are the settings i have for O2 UK-but dont seem to be correct--
MMSC: mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
Proxy: 193.113.200.195
APN: wap.o2.co.uk
Username: o2wap
Password: password
Can anyone confirm what i have gor wrong...

Works great here on one Serbian network, both sending and receiving...1.0.2 OTB phone updated, jailbreaked and unlocked on 1.1.4...Make sure to install MobileFinder app and MobilePreview plugin to be able to view received images...Also, for all possible problems, read the blog at swirlyspace...Lot of small fixes and explanations there...

working great here on t-mob uk. Will be donating later.
Now all we need is for it to save the file to the pictures/camera roll for ease of viewing/ using as wallpaper
