iTunes 7.4.1 Released

Quote:
With iTunes 7.4, sync your favorite music and more with the new iPod nano (third generation), iPod classic, and iPod touch, plus create custom ringtones exclusively for iPhone with many of your favorite songs purchased from the iTunes Store. You can now also play purchased videos with closed captioning (when available), easily rate your favorite albums from one to five stars, and watch videos at a larger size inside the iTunes window.
I don't notice any differences yet... but we'll see. I'm sure the MobileDevice was updated as well.

what i did was double click the ringtone which is lets say "song.m4r" so that it will be added to the ringtone folder and ringtone tab of the iPhone... then find that folder delete "song.m4r" and add it again to that folder by copying & pasting the original "song.m4r"... then it should sync fine now... im not sur it wil work for u but it does with me...

I'm absolutely going to love the iTunes store for the iPhone. There are a few people left in this world that actually buy their music. Well, sometimes .

Once you add a ringtone iTunes creates a folder in your iTunes Music folder named Ringtones

Hah! when I can get an album from itunes anywhere near the price that i can get a physical CD that has zero DRM on it...it might be worth considering. until then, i would just be paying more for an inferior product.

about a year ago, i decided to go 100% legal with my music. i deleted my ~120gb downloaded collection and started purchasing. i'm now back up to ~32gbs...freakin expensive and time consuming to try to build my whole collection back with legit CDs...but hey, it's the right thing to do.

oh and the whole reason i came in here: itunes 7.4.1 is downloading for me now (mac os)...i wonder what this update will bring?

Upon a second reading, it seems like most of you went straight to 7.4.1. For some reason, I updated itunes to 7.4 (on the night of the keynote) then found 7.4.1 during a software update this morning. 7.4 did not allow me to create ringtones, but did have the ringtones tab in my iphone section of itunes. very odd!

I think it was so that people couldn't achieve the free ringtone trick anymore.
