can anyone confirm that they are playing monopoly on a jailbroken 2.2 firmware? im about to unjailbreak, just to be able to play the long awaited monopoly!!

Ive played it.

Jailbreaking has NOTHING to do with playing the game.

alright thanks, thats all i needed. is anyone else on here having problems with monopoly crashing? i was assuming that not being a legit copy of 2.2 firmware on my phone that it will not work with it. there have been a few reviews on the app store of the same problem im having, but i have no idea if its related to being jail-broke or not

Could be a number of things.

But on my 3g running a hacked up version of 2.2, it runs fine.

alright cool, then i try to figure out what it could be and leave it jailbroken. any ideas??? other then winterboard, and wbapps. which i now removed, every app on my phone is from the app store. i can't see what would be conflicting to make it crash

^^Hmmm, try restarting the phone.

Try turning off winterboard or running it in "safe mode". Try uninstalling the app and re-installing it.

tried all of the above except "safe mode", i even redownloaded monopoly and resynced. ill try safe mode (HOW?), i guess... it doesnt make sense

^And this is a dumb question......your positively running 2.2 FW right? Cause 2.1 or lower wont play.

haha. yeah i am running 2.2. thats what led me to believe that jailbroken 2.2 wouldnt play monopoly.

MMi member thetoothfairy noticed Monopoly is now live in the AppStore (link opens iTunes) - this is fresh! So fresh, it seems, AppStore won't even let me download it yet from the iPhone - although I was able to get it from iTunes and sync.

Thanks for mentioning my name.... wanted to let all know it was out right away as I had read that people were waiting for it and was excited to buy this app....

In response to earlier posts, LuxTouch is a Risk game.
@Jaded_lude: to get to safe mode, install sbSettings and go to Power options. There is an option to enter safe mode. This gives the app full resources.
As for Monopoly, I have yet to buy it. Sounds really fun.

Just wasted a lottttt of time playing Monopoly instead of studying for exams...oh well. As good as it gets for a virtual board game...will definitely come to use during those long road trips back home.

No luck with the safe mode. One thing I noticed is that when I install monopoly (either from app store or syncing on the comupter) it hangs up at like 60-70%. To the point where it locks up the phone (when i install through app store) and I can't do anything til it's done. Maybe it's not installing right....?????

This is app is great, the damn computer always wins though! Excellent graphics, speed, etc. Definitely 5 stars
