I need help asap please.... I updated my phone from 2.1 to 2.2 just a few minutes ago and everything was cool. Now I'm trying to jailbreak my phone using quickpwn and its stuck at "flashing Bootloader, DO NOT INTERRUPT!!!"

It's been like that for a good 20 minutes now... should I just keep waiting? Last time I jailbroke my phone on 2.1 it took like 10 minutes tops.

^^^Is the phone 1st Gen or the 3G? What OS or you running?

I'm reading off the BootNeuter 2.1 and this is what it says...

Version 4.6
Neuter On
Fake black off
Unlock On

I don't know if that helps :/ ... I'm going crazy! :/

yes it is .... It's been over 45 minutes now...


EDIT: After an hour of waiting I decided to do it all over again... now to wait and see what happens

EDIT 2: I'm back to where I started... I upgraded my phone and now I'm at 2.2 again... I'm really glad it works...

I don't know if I should try jailbraking again... I'm scared now

the file I download PWnagetool 2.2 OS X with the extention .DMG how to zip it out, how to convert it , I never have to know this .DMG

Ive had my iphone for 6 months and afraid to jailbreak it...I have just completed my first jailbreak on a 3g 2.2 phone and I am so thankful to the developers of this site for making it an easy transition.I was on the verge of getting a new phone since I have become bored with mine but now I LOVE IT!!! Do it again, I did it the first time too and failed miserable, thought i lost my phone; but got it back, used the tool and all is ok. You just have to follow those steps to the letter and all will be ok. Not that it couldn't happen but I've owned 3 different Iphones since they first came out and after countless screw ups during jailbreaks, my phone always was able to be updated back to original data. SO GO FOR IT MAN!!

If you're using the installer, just simply uninstall the custom theme and bam, you're back to boring old apple theme. If you're using CYDIA Installer, simply take all the check marks out of the themes area and you'll be back at apple.

First off, you have to make sure that you're following the guide to the letter and you may have to delete the v39 file and re-download it with Internet Explorer; just a hunch, but try that.

I can't tell you how many times I got this wrong before realizing I missed a stupid obvious step....SO FOLLOW THE GUIDE TO THE LETTER>

hi: I have tried updating to 2.2 from 2.1 in a 2gen iPhone with a mac usin quickpwn, it goes trough all the motions and it hangs sending the file to my phone. I have tried several times and it just stays in the screen that reads "sending file xxxx.guy.dry to your". Any ideas? Mario

Hallo to all iPhone fans. I am newbie and have no time to surf around the net and seek how to jailbreak my toy. So I apologize for my questions that come in the next lines.

I am win XP user and I have may be jailbreaked iPhone via quickpwn 2.1. Cydia and installer are present in my iphone. I found a step by step manual how to do, but I am absolutely not sure if I did it correct. My phone has contracted carrier ORANGE. I would like to update to 2.2, but read to do not this. ONLY USE PWN AGE TOOL to unlock. But pwnage tool is just for mac users. Does unlocking means an access to another carrier, e.g. T-Mobile? All I need is to have a possibility to install 3rd party apps. May be I am stupid, but I dare do necessary steps to jailbreak if some good tutorial how to.

So I have iphone 8GB updated to ver 2.1 via iTunes with ORANGE carrier
may be jailbreaked with quickpwn 2.1
runing on Win XP

im still on version 1.1.3 and I want to update phone to 2.2
i have both vista and xp, i will use whatever it is easiet i downloaded the quickpwn22 zip file already but before i get started i wanted to know what to do.

do i just update phone on itunes like normal and than run the quickpwn app?

up to this point I have been afraid of updating,dont wanna get stuck with an expensive brick.
