Firmware 2.2 JAILBROKEN

Have other updated their 1st gen iphones? In settings it says i have the newest firmware but i dont have street maps street view and in the app store there is no podcast. what is up?

If I remember correctly the default is 500mb. You can always resize later using an app called Bosstools(it is is Cydia) without having to repwn your phone.

Successfully jailbroke my original iphone after an update to the 2.2 firmware with quickpwn 2.2! Cydia, Winterboard and Installer all working like a charm!!!

I think I'm going to wait a little for the kinks to work out before updating to 2.2 firmware. Im fine with 2.1 for now and everything's working.

This sucks. I'll have to wait for software unlock since 2.2 won't work with Turbosim and I'm too cheap to buy another one that works (if/when it comes out).

The reason it says that is for people who wish to one day get their 3G's unlocked. You can use Qwickpwn with Windows, but it will update your baseband. In other words if you are with a legitimate Carrier with your phone (I am with AT&T), you can use Qwickpwn if you do not care about having your phone remaining branded to your carrier.

I got my 3G 16GB a couple of weeks ago, it was unlocked when i bought it.
Will it remain unlocked if i upgrade to 2.2?

Podcast are under itunes on the phone! and street view works under maps you have to drop a pin or put an address and then tap on the pin and there is street view!

Just restored my 2G with a custom 2.2FW via iTunes/Pwnage/OSX. Resynced with a backup I made prior to the update. All music, sms, pics, calendars, contacts back without incident. Everything is working as it should. Dude, google street view is SICK....

No man nothing!...I had tried that already, My "Show caller ID" is ON but cant change it cuz its grayed out, and tried with call forwarding and call waiting off and still nothing. I instantly get " Call Failed"

I think I'll wait too. My 2.1 is working fine and I upgraded my wife to 2.2 official (she doesn't want her phone jailbroken) and I don't think it's worth it for me to go through all the trouble of finding all of my apps in cydia again.... I'm content right now

But my phone was unlocked when i bought it a few weeks back, I travel the world and usually use rechargeable sim cards. So my phone should remain unlocked after the upgrade right?? - Sorry, I'm pretty new at this and appreciate your help.

You would have to ask the company you got it from. Some factory unlocks are relocked with ANY update and then there are those factory unlocks that allow you to update anytime.

I have gotten Error (6) on every version of Pwnage Tool since 2.0 dropped. I can't figure it out...

QuickPwn works fine, but I'd really prefer to use Pwnage Tool..
