I SSHed last night with root/alpine to modified my themes. It worked fine and I am running 2.2 JB.

The 2.1 patch works on 2.2. I tried it and all apps still install via iTunes and launch. I am using a 1G iphone.

hey ery1 i started off by restoring in itunes and then upgraded to 2.2 then restored from backup next i opened quickpwn and followed everything and everything seemed to be going smoothly but when it rebooted there was no cydia or installer if any1 has any idea what went wrong id appreciate hearing it.

i also had jailbroken it before when on 2.1

iPhone 3G
2.2 FW
macbook (black) 2.4 ghz
Mac OS X 10.5.5 (leopard)

was your phone jailbroke before? and if so did you have them hidden in any way?

Hello Everyone,

I have a question, I cannot seem to find the answer.

I have jailbroken 1.1.4 and want to finally upgrade to 2.2 can I just just upgrade or update or do I have to go 2.0.2 then 2.1?

to let you know I have in the past went from 1.1.4 to 2.0.2, but I did not like it (apps I wanted where not avaiable yet) so I went back to 1.1.4.

But not it finally time to go forward..

Yes you can go sraight to 2.2! and youll need to rejailbreak the phone.

okay just try this go to settings on your phone general, then restrictions, enable restrictions. then go back to home screen then do it over but this time disable resrtictions then check home screen see if they are back. let me know if that works?
