What happens when?
When you do finally do the upgrade, does that mean that the phone is wiped clean, and then it must be REjailbroken and all the apps on there now have to be REinstalled?

It is really sad that people have to be reminded of this.

I concur...
Just so we are clear people... lol
Upgrade = Upgrade. (No your data stays and yes you need to jailbreak again. and yea all "homebrew apps" need re-installed...)
Restore = bye bye data... (Yea that means wipe)
Oh and if there is question about doing something.
Look in the top right of the MMI site... search is an amazing thing
if (youTryToBeSmarter)
{
i.WillTryToBeNicer();
}
//oh here let me translate for you to something that is easier to understand!
If youTryToBeSmarter Then
i.WillTryToBeNicer()
End If

First of, site your sources.
Secondly, yeah, is everybody forgetting: EMOTICONS!
I've been waiting a long time.
I bet it gets released on the 21st, only because iTunes says thats when it will check for updates. I just have a feeling they do that intentionally, because mine has said the 21st for like 2 weeks now.

W3Counter - Global Web Stats
He's half right since Macs do have around a 5% market share while Windows (all versions) got over 90% with the remaining falling to Linux/Others.
EDIT: other sources lead me to numbers as high as 8% but still nothing compared to Windows.

What about the fact that the new MacBooks and MacBook Pros render Pwnage unusable? Will this be addressed and "fixed" by the Dev team? I can't use Pwnage as I bought one of the new MBP's and have sold my PowerBook.

Does anyone know if the mail fetch problem will be fixed in 2.2 or at least function more often?

Ok, warning taken. Just one thing... it says it may affect your chances of software unlock in the future... what if I'm a legit user? Couldn't I just upgrade when the FW is out? Although I know I won't be able to jailbreak in the new FW for a few days... Or does this also affect future jailbreaks?

11-18-2008, 11:01 AM #38Yea... that's what I thought... Thanks for confirming, tho! =DYou can upgrade immediately if future unlocking isn't what you're looking for. You might have to wait a short while for jailbreaking capability, however.
