apple would be stupid to push google away they made iphone better in many ways & now with android coming soon to every phone near you apple should not turn their backs to google

Big companies liek Google don't get rejected. They are on a higher level than 3rd party companies as you can hear on the keynote where they announce the 3G.

The google app is already able to search the contacts, as well as Say Who. So, there would be no further reason for this to be held accountable for rejection...

Ok I've just downloaded it and tested it from the New Zealand app store, it's sick as super good i spoke a few restaurants locations and landmarks and it's amazing brings ups allsorts of options, directions, reviews. YEOW!!!!!

It appears that the Google Mobile App released back on 28 August 2008 is about to be updated to include the voice recognition software.

I didn't have the Google Mobile App until after visiting the linked site, so I thought I was about to get the new functionality. I guess they put the info up prior to the app update.

It appears that it may be true that the update to Google Mobile App was not approved. I just checked the Google site previously linked and there is no longer mention of the cool and useful voice recognition features or any pending updates.

It's in the store right now. It doesn't say anything about voice search in the description, but I just downloaded it and it does accept voice commands.

Why doesn't it bring up contacts when you voice search? I can only find contacts when I type the search.

its there just click on search for Google, then pick it and install, it updates and works great WOW thanks Google

I clicked on the get app, a pop up came up and said the update was free, downloaded and synced, done.

ya i updated works great but even after reboot it shows I have an update and its google in APP store on teh badge, really wierd
