Anyone else having problems now with the new update? My sending message bar is dragging now. SMS seem way slower to me, not faster?

For ALL Your Info I just want to let you know that it seem as itīs not possible to add Templates in the latest version 0.8.8
Also when click to a contact number when gonna write and send sms the app just go back to income sms list!?
And when try to reply with the "Answer" button at the popup window when incoming mail shows up the app just go back to incoming sms list!!??

Anybody else have same same me?

Well, I changed the icon to the stock SMS one and it says mysms on the bottom, SWEET!!!. Also got ride of the splash screen, looks stock now. Debating if I should get ride of the stock SMS all together now?

I use the program "poof" to hide icons I dont want to show. Its in Cydia.

this was actually the first app i tried that offered landscape texting and i freakin love it! i read some of the earlier posts about people saying bitesms was better, so i gave it a shot, i'm stickin with MySMS... **** rocks socks for sure.

oh okay, i thought you meant deleting the entire app, yea poofing it wouldn't be a big deal as long as you remember to unpoof it next time you update/restore firmware, and youre welcome

for the creators of MYSMS: i have two suggestions.

i love this app and think it is the best sms app so far =] but just two things...

1. disable the splash screen and have it go directly to inbox

2. can you PLEASE add some sort of "new message" indicator when viewing the inbox?? many times my MySMS icon on my homescreen will have a 1, 2, 3, etc telling me that i have an unread message(s). and when i go into my inbox, i have no idea which one is the unread message...
is there a way that you can add a Dot (like default sms app) to the message preview or change the color of the little envelope on the left side to RED =] so i know it is Unread?? thanks so much and that would make this app complete for me =]

is anyone else having issues with the no unread indicator???

I happen to enjoy iRealSMS app better. It has all of the bells and whistles and allows SMS integration. It costs a little more than this new app but to me, it's worth it.

does iRealSMS work with intelliscreen? that is...if you're reading a text msg in QuickView, if you hit launch SMS, will it go to iRealSMS rather than the iphone default SMS program?

Is it possible to forward the entire message/conversation tree to an email? I don't see that option available in any third-party SMS tools. It's kind of obvious if you want to save the conversation somewhere.

idk about the other modes besides conversation view, but i know in conversation mode it shows the bubbles darker to indicate you have a new message, they turn a lot darker..i'll see how it looks for the other modes/views next time i get a text and will let you know if i have an indicator for those or not

Just use 'BossPrefs' to hide icons. Everyone has 'BossPrefs' don't they?

Why is it that after 140 characters it jumps to sending a 2nd SMS?
But when you have an enter in a message it allready jumps to a 2nd SMS after 70 characters...

Has anyone tested btw if it really sends one sms when you write one of 140 chars?
Is this a bug or is this something about SMS that i dont know about?

Does this work with StatusNotifier if it's set as default sms app?

No. If the program is not set to default, you still get the StatusNotifier icon on the status bar but it doesn't go away when you check the message through MySMS. You have to delete the message from the default SMS or restart your phone to get it to go away. If you set MySMS as the default, the StatusNotifier icon doesn't even show up.

Intelliscreen has the same sort of issues...

it's great to see a developer so proactive in the forum community and actually provides support help and insight on the plans of their application.

question to you or any other MySMS users....

when ur responding to a text you receiving in landscape mode, can you see the conversation bubbles in the window as well as the keyboard? like the normal, vertical SMS app?

or does the window where you are composing your text msg response take up the whole screen along with the keyboard.

After playing with it for a day, here are a few of my suggestions:

1. Like someone else mentioned, please lose the splash screen.
2. Needs to be slightly faster
3. VERY IMPORTANT TO ME: Being able to read the prior incoming texts so you know what you're replying to. Bitesms does this in regular portrait mode but fails in landscape. MySMS doesn't even do it regular or landscape, the option would be nice. Maybe eliminate that send button and already have the text box ready to go when you're sending a text.
4. iRealSMS shows a tiny time stamp for each text, that would be nice as an option

Things I really like:
1. The option of call right at the button, been wanting that forever.
2. The punctuation on the qwerty screen
3. Option to add contacts quickly to send text to multiple contacts
4. Any obviously that awesome landscape text.

I'm ready to buy if some of the thing I mentioned get incorporated. I'm sure others would want it as well.

Go to settings and in # display put 10 thats it!
