I jumped right on this and it DID NOT work for me. I used my PC, restored to 1.1.4, ran "Do it ALL" from ZiPhone 2.5

All seemed peachy, until I launched the MAIL app, which immediately closed itself. Could not add or delete accounts, etc. Restored again, ran "Do it ALL" again, same results. Tried again, and ZiPhone wouldn't finish. No my iPhone won't even restore in iTunes. Yikes!!!

Dragged it over to my mac, for the hell of it, and iTunes saw the phone, and seems to work fine. So, I guess in the end that the jailbreak, activate and unlock did work...but now the iPhone is dead to my PC. I don't much care, but my back-up is on the PC!!! contacts, calendar, notes, etc.

Just BEWARE!!!! This software is NOT foolproof. And as a fool, I should know.

ok heres the problem i have an 1.1.4 otb with 4.6 bootloader
how do i do the downgrade to 3.9 or the ziphone 2.5 does the downgrade or i have to downgrade it after doing the process with 2.5?

ziphone does the downgrade for you mate, i still dont know why you lads keep asking this ,eh? Ziphone is very secure and way better than the installer way to upgrade to 1.1.4.

i downloaded zibri 2.5 on tiger and it loads just fine. i haven't tried upgrading with the phone just yet, just holding out for a bit more information. but yes, the applications downloaded and installed perfectly using tiger.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm eagerly awaiting a status report from someone else trying to run the software on Tiger. With ZiPhone 2.4, I downloaded it and opened it fine on my Tiger Mac, but I didn't try to run it because of the incompatibility reports. So I worry 2.5 might be the same.

Please post if/when you give it a go.

lol dude, relax. you don't need to get all worked up over this! haha...i didn't think that the feature (touching and holding an area of the screen) was very "tech geek"-ish. figured that if you can jailbreak an iPhone, you definitely could remove a webclip.

Thats a wonderfull thought, however you are sadly mistaken in your theory. You must have somehow forgot that when you jailbreak all you do is download and click... thats all, no pocket protector needed. However not having encounterd a link like this before, it would be some what idiotic in my thought process to hold down an icon and wish upon a star that an x would show up all of a sudden and allow me to delete it. So in conclusion you should try to understand that just because you may have encounterd somthing before, dosn't mean it gives you the right to treat people that have not as if they are morons, I understand you have no life and this makes you feel better but it aint my fault you have been trash canned and swirly'd into a mess of human tragedy.

I've used this ziphone 2.5 and it works with no problem, just restore your phone to 1.1.4 using itunes and then open ziphone 2.5 and click on the first button to unlock, jailbreak and activate, and it will work with no problems, don't worry about what bootloader you have or if you have to downgrade or upgrade the phone, it will do it all for you.

its a great program!!!!!!!!!!

Worked on a 1.1.1 (OTB). Hit restore in iTunes and then did "IT ALL" in ZiPhone. Works like a charm, no Signal.app or anything.

Did you keep iTunes open after restore or did you quit iTunes before running ZiPhone 2.5?

Mine was stil opened when i ran ziphone and it works perfectly..

I closed my itunes and it worked with no problems, also people having problems with youtube playbak and video playback, try resetting your settings, that worked for me

i have used ziphone to update to 1.1.3 and preping for 1.1.4 update, but had a quick question. Hod do i get rid of the lamn ***** Ziphone blog link on my springboard? iv looked through all my files and don't know where the link is located. n e help would be great.

hold down an icon until all the icons wiggle, ziphone icon will have a x in the corner. press it to delete the link!

I just tested it out and it worked great. I tested a 1.1.1 OTB that had 1.1.2 unlocked, jailbroke, activated firmware and a 1.1.3 OTB unlocked activated jailbroke phone.

Both restored to 1.1.4 flawlessly and were unlocked jailbroke and activated perfectly. All features seem to work, I tested YouTube, LocateMe, Stocks, Weather and Phone on both phones.
No Issues at all
